Happy to say, I will be a Huskie in the fall. I applied to UConn on a whim with a fee waiver and I'm really glad I did. Looks like a great school with perfect location. The Dean of Admissions has been very helpful and a student emailed me to talk about the GLBT community.... and UConn offered me a nice scholarship.

Thanks. Hoping for BC but I think I'd be happy at any one of these scools. Northeastern's Co-op learning program is very interesting.

Wow!

American, Temple, Pace, Northeastern, UConn, hmmm I'm leaning towards Northeastern. I like the progressive atmosphere, the coop program, and my partner lives in Boston. I am also considering UConn. If they offer me a scholarship, I may attend. I liked Temple and American and Pace. After visiting, I thought the administration, professors, and students at all schools were kind and/or inspiring. After visiting I realized I would not fit in at BC so I won't go there.

Congrats

Congrats on UConn and the scholarship. I'm starting there in the fall and have been going to some of the GLBT events with the campus, they seem like a good group. See you next year

Congrats on UConn

Thanks for the note. You had some nice choices, but I agree with you on UConn. I was most impressed with the Ass't Dean of Admissions. She has put me in touch with other nontrads like me. I'd be happy to help you with questions about CT, if needed. See you soon.

Thanks for the comment. I heard the campus is really beautiful- and it must be if it's anything like the pictures. I haven't been able to visit the campus yet but I have a trip planned in June. Congrats on getting in- I look forward to meeting you in the fall!
