25 April 2007 - FINALLY rejected from Yale. mailed Harvard deposit.

24 April 2007 - formally rejected from Chicago after taking no action on ther deferral

14 April 2007 - waitlisted at Michigan. Midwest does not like me. Meanwhile, still nothing from Yale...

2 March 2007 - Notice for "admitted students events" at Fordham...guess that means I'm in

1 March 2007 - Hold at Chicago; I guess it didn't come through that I'm "academic"

2 February 2007- accepted to Penn (phone call) and BU (letter with handwritten personal note)

23 January 2007- Columbia admits me, no scholarship; Duke sends...a comic book?

13 January 2007- GW offers me a scholarship plus a swank apt. in DC...a nice gesture, but not quite as sweet as Harvard's LRAP deal

29 December 2006- accepted to GW via phone and email

21 December 2006- after receiving the initial Harvard admissions packet (with DVDs) last week, I get a large box with the school's hefty binder...BU, meanwhile, finally mails in a complete notice.

15 December 2006 - email from home indicating I'm into BC EA, only a couple weeks after my first RD admission. upon consulation, accept analysis that "jesuits are deliberative"

11 December 2006 - received NYU acceptance postmarked Dec. 8...purple folder with very rudimentary letters, forms

6 December 2006 - accepted to Harvard!!! enthusiastic call from Toby Stock!

1 December 2006- received Duke acceptance postmarked Nov. 28; big binder with a letter referring to specific legal interests

29 November 2006- busy day:
-complete notice from Penn...and Yale- does the timing of this mean anything?
-Toby Stock call...not sure how that went...
-official completeness email from Harvard came about an hour later

28 November 2006- Duke decision apparently mailed...

26 November 2006- retrieved Georgetown acceptance postmarked the 20th; small beige envelope with handwritten note from Cornblatt etc.

24 November 2006- Toby Stock said he would call me re: Harvard. I guess that means complete?

No worries, LSD Fairy. They'll be put in ASAP; just need to work on supplemental essays this weekend.

Good luck!

I'm sure you'll do great - he's really cool and other than the fact that it's a call from HLS, it's not TOO nerve-wracking! :-) Just have some questions ready for him so it's more like an actual conversation. It looks like you're in great shape for the app cycle- congrats on GULC and good luck with the phone call! (Oh and low 170s sure, but you have a fantastic GPA- me? I have no idea how I got a call, lol)

Congratulations!

I did not...

But maybe they'll find this out if they Facebook stalk me. One of them is in support of the Muggle Rights Act, so they'll know I have interest in human rights legislation! Congrats on the Harvard call!!!

Blah...

And by "them," I mean, one of my groups.

Yeah, nice to see people in our numbers range getting the call, too bad I'm not going to be one of them! G'luck, you'll have an awesome cycle.:)

Thanks!! I still can't believe it. I'm sure you will be hearing soon. It's definitely my first choice, unless someone else comes through with a financial offer that's to good to pass up. I didn't apply to Yale for personal reasons, including not wanting to drag my SO to New Haven for 3 yrs. Good luck with everything!

Thanks for the note

And good luck with Harvard - I thought my phone call went terribly, but apparently that didn't matter too much. I hope you hear back soon!

Ahhh!

congrats on your acceptances, other than Gtown we have been finding out from the same schools at the same time. Just curious...have you gotten an envelope from Harvard yet?

Yeah, agreed on the attention. Very impressed logging into the e-mail to see semi-personalized messages from students and profs, etc. HLS has a good recruitment effort going!
