I have heard from friends that UNC is very in-state focused (as are most of the NC schools). If that is one of your top choices, make sure to tailor your app/PS version to explain why you wish you relocate there for school (family ties? wish to practice in that region? etc). One of my former college roommates went to Loyola Chicago for law school and she enjoyed it. best of luck the rest of the way!

Hey there...

...saw you were applying to several of the same schools as I did and wanted to wish you good luck. I agree with Jim on applying to a safety. A couple of bright points...you have the same index number as me for IUPUI and I received my acceptance from them this past week. I recommend that you get your aps out soon!

Hey good luck, you have a great gpa so I'm sure you'll do fine. The LSAT is just one test, i can't realistically believe that some 4 hour test actually determines what kind of lawyer you will be. Are you still at MSU now?

...I think that you have done a decent job targeting your aps. If you still feel like you need a safety you may want to send an ap out to MSU or Wayne State. Just so you know your IUPUI index is the same as mine (they used my higher LSAT) and I was accepted. v/r

I really liked Chicago, but I've had enough of the midwest, its generally pretty bland. I also want to use my law school experience as a way to get to know another part of the country, so that's why I didn't apply to any chicago schools. The only thing I would say about your list (not that I really have any idea of what Im talkin about) is that you may want to add some surefire safeties, like MSU.

GL with your apps!

My opinion

I think you definately have good chances at penn state, kent, depaunt, IU at Indianapolis,, and Loyola. Otherwise, the other schools are probably 50/50. Unfortunately, I am in the same sitatuon. But reallly, I wouldn't worry about applying to other safety schools because you will at the very least get into one of those schools listed above. Just hopefully we both get get lucky with those iffy selections and get in!

I think i have a 50/50 shot at Case, UK, Cincy, Ohio State, Villanova, and Universitiy of Florida. My only hope is that I can get into a couple of those schools. With regards to UK - if you look at the school website, they give a profile of your chances of getting in based on LSAT/GPA. Under our index, it says very competitive. Wonder what "very competitive" translates into. Well anyway, let me know if you get any decisions in the next couple of weeks.

hey!

I saw that you posted on someone else's wall that you went to MI State...sorry if I "spilled the beans". I just wanted to say good luck, I go to Michigan but got accepted to State. Any thoughts on the law school? Graduate housing?

No, I am not a minority and I applied to both Kent and Loyola-Chicago for the full-time division.

Hi, Congrats on getting in to IU-Indy. Is this one of your top choices? I am expecting to hear back from them pretty soon. Maybe we'll see one another this fall.

I offered to switch to PT, but was accepted FT. I actually had another recommendation sent a few days ago, but it most likely did not reach them before I received my decision. Good luck!
