hey krysrox, No joint degrees. I looked into a few schools that had them (Syracuse had a joint JD/MS Communications) but then I thought, do I really want to live where it snows 100+ inches a year? :)

Thanks Army2Law, I just had an official visit at Michigan today, which went very well. Got to sit in on 2 classes. Also visited Wisconsin earlier this month. Both nice but I have fingers crossed very hard for U-M! Best of luck to you too!

Didn't get to spend a lot of time in Madison but it seems like a cool town. I hear it described as 'the best of Ann Arbor + best of Lansing area + two lakes.' hard to argue with that! :)

yes we are practically applying to all the same schools. I was going to apply to College of William and Mary as well, but some stats I looked at gave me no chance so I decided not to. I hope you get into Michigan as well. It would be cool to be classmates!!

on your acceptance!! I took the LSAT today and so I will see what I get. I think your chances at WM are pretty good. It was my GPA that was letting me down there and frankly I don't have the $$ to take a risk on a school i'm not really that into!!

I figured I would respond to your comment here instead of my own profile since you'd be more likely to see it. No, I'm not from the midwest but I am in LOVE with Chicago and really want to practice there, so I figured I'd stick to the surrounding areas. Ann Arbor is one of my favorite college cities and would kill to get into Umich (although that's not gonna happen). The east and west coasts just aren't my scene and while I love New Orleans (where I've lived for the past 6 years) I'm ready to head out elsewhere. Good luck with all your apps! Yep, Wayne has really been the goal all along, mostly because I wanted to keep working when I am and go to school in the evening, and I plan to stay in Michigan so it was the most ideal situation for me

did you get any scholarship info from MSU? Do you know when they will let you know?

you are sooo right. I am so fed up of getting the mail seeing MSU and thinking this is it this is it. Please God let it be some $$$ and it's about the admit day or how great the school is and how much they want me to come. Stop sending that junk already and tell me whether I am getting any MOOLA, lol It sounds so crass but that will really be a big factor in my decision to go there!! only 2 more days until the 15th!! And I am so sorry about U Michigan. I know what the dream feels like!!

I didn't get a penny from them, I called them and asked. She looked up my file and told me that I was below the index to get anything so I doubt I will be going there in the fall. Way to expensive for me.

I think u will get $$ from them, my gpa that they have is lower than yours and they said I missed it by 1 index point. My new transcripts that are being sent by LSAC show a higher gpa but they told me they may not even look at that. They said no-one with below a 156 is getting any money either. Oh well, I have some serious thinking to do. Good Luck with the $$$, I am pretty confident you will get some!!!!

was thinking of UDetroit as well, but I don't know if I would like the area. I saw some pics online and it didn't seem like me. Denver now is so picturesque but I can't justify the additional app fee and LSDAS fee with so many other apps pending. Plus I don't love it so much that I just need to apply, you know!! lol So did you find out how much $$$ you are getting yet from MSU?? Good Luck with William and Mary, I hope you get in!!

I haven't gotten the official letter as yet but I called them about visiting and she was kinda non-commital and didn't set up a visit so you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to know that means REJECTION. And Florida, ha, not much to say about the Harvard of the south, haha So it looks like it is going to be MSU for you huh? Cool, I would like to go there but no moola ;-(

I would so love to get in there but I am thinking that I should retake LSAT if I really want a good shot, hahaha. I am so surprised that I didn't even get a dime at MSU. The more I hear about it the more I would have liked to attend, oh well. I bet it feels good to have your decision made, I will def keep in touch.

MSU is not my top choice right now, but that might change with school visits and rejection letters. No money, unfortunately :( MSU is definitely in the running, though, because they have so much desire to improve. In five years, I think MSU will be well-nestled in the top 100...

...on making your decision. I have yet to hear from either Wayne State or MSU concerning FA, which is a significant factor in my decision process. Without some kind of FA, I will probably go to Minn or Richmond. The way you received the FA offer from Wayne State is kind of funny. The same thing happened with me an Hamline. Like you the offer would not have enticed me to attend. Best of luck at MSU and keep in touch! We "old" people have to stick together!

my friend. As of right now Drake and Case are tied. Drake due to $$ and Case because they have some programs I really like, plus they may give me some $$$. The Michigan e-mail actuallt stung less than I thought. It was a dream, much in the way that me marrying George Clooney is a dream, lol Let's def keep in touch!!

so much. I am feeling really blessed with these different acceptances and offers. It would be soo cool if MSU gave me $$ and we could be classmates, however I don't think MSU wants that, haha

sent me a postcard today saying they got my application. Weird!! ;0(

I was really happy about Illinois and the $$. It's funny cos MSU started so strong and now I haven't heard a thing from them in ages. I may have to withdraw soon if they still don't offer up a dime,.
