Additional info & updates

Wow...so my cycle is over! I thought my options would get narrowed down as I heard back but it's still pretty much wide open.

Accepted into GMU part time by the way, I originally applied full time then called and asked them to add part time. Got a call today saying that I am in part-time.

3/1/07: Temple responded today to my request for more scholarship money. They turned my 12k first year scholarship into a renewable scholarship, 36k over three years. Really not sure where I am going now!

I am actually leaning towards Drexel right now...
Or maybe Miami.... I don't know!!
The stress never ends with this process....

Okay, decision made!! It was really tough but I will be attending Temple University in the fall. Anyone else going?

GMU's a fantastic school. They actually called me today about my application -- they ask which program specialization or track you want. I thought that if you didn't want to give one, you didn't need to check one on the app -- but there is a General option! I was mortified. Ah well, at least it's a small error and not something glaring.

Hey thanks for the note. COngrats on your acceptances. You seem like you got a pretty good deal from temple too (12,000 is total or per year?) and a ncie one from miami. Drexel will be decent but I would talk a hard long look and think it through. You can IM me sometime at the same screenname as my LSN

Drexel

They will be accredited. I spoke with admissions people from McGeorge to Duquesne, they all agreed. The school knows what they are doing and they are hiring the right kinds of faculty. If you compare with the other schools that are being granted provisional accreditation, it seems like Drexel is almost a sure bet.

temple v drexel

I'm leaning towards temple actually; I went to drexel undergrad and wasn't exactly in love with my experience. But, I am trying to get temple to give me some money so hopefully I will get somewhere with that. Which one are you leaning toward? congrats on the scholarships!

Drexel

thanks! The thing that stood out the most about Drexel for me was the energy. I can't really explain it, it just felt like the right place for me. The students and faculty are psyched to be part of shaping Drexel's future and building the school from the ground up, which is a unique opportunity - and one that excites me tremendously. Are you planning on attending the AS day? I highly recommend it - it was awesome!

Temple vs Drexel

Hi - I saw that you are also trying to decide between Temple and Drexel, and made it to both of their ASWs. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to either due to a wedding, so I'm really interested to hear your thoughts on both of the schools. Thanks!
