Feb. 3, 2009: So I go to mailbox and I have two letters. One from Baylor and one from St. Mary's. I open St. Mary's first because I felt more cofident about it, and I didn't want my first letter to be a rejection. I got in!! I am just glad I am going to A law school. Hopefully this will not be my only acceptance. Then Baylor's rejection. No biggie. :)

Feb. 27, 2009: I got my letter from Texas Tech today!! :) I was visiting the school and totally fell in love. Hopefully I'll get a scholarship, but I doubt it. Either way, I fell in love with the school and surprisingly enough, Lubbock isn't that bad!! Still waiting to hear back from other schools though.

March 5, 2009: I went on status checker for Fordham like I try to do every day, and I see: "Unfortunately, you have been denied." I thought I'd be disappointed, but I'm not. Maybe because I have already decided on Tech. :) Well at least there won't be a "what if" there.

March 23, 2009: I received my letter of acceptance from Marquette. Cool thing about it, the Dean wrote a note on the bottom left hand corner that reads:
"Ms. Perez, Congratulations. I very much hope that you will join us at Marquette."
I did the spit test.. and TADA!!!! It was actually hand written. Pretty cool. Now I don't know where I will go. I didn't expect to have options.

I have also been waitlisted at Ohio State which is amazing to me. That was a reach school, so I'm flattered. Sent in my letter of intent the very next day. Keeping fingers crossed!!

March 25, 2009: I got a pretty nice package from Marquette. Scholarship information-- $33,000. 11k per year for the three years provided I stay on as a full time student. As for someone's comment about withdrawing from schools I will not attend so he/she can have a seat, I understand where you're coming from, however, I have not yet decided where I want to go. I will not withdraw until I have decided. I've sent in deposits to two schools already, so I'm still keeping my options open. Sorry. Good luck though!
