Additional info & updates

~ "Sent" is the day I sent the application electronically from LSAC.

~"Complete" will only be listed if the school somehow notified me that they had all my materials and they were under review
~Rankings are 2004 Chiashu percentages
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/23 ~ Ohio State acceptance via phone call. Scholarship information received 1/30 ($5k).

1/31 ~ Akron acceptance via email. Scholarship notifications to follow.

2/13 ~ Case acceptance via email. "offical letter" to follow.

2/13 ~ BC rejection by mail. Not a big shock that they rejected me, but it still stings a bit.

2/22 ~ Gtown rejection by mail

2/23 ~Akron Scholarship = Full Tuition plus either A. lower GPA requirement to keep the scholarship, or B. $5000 stipend in the first year. This just makes my choice harder...

3/03 ~ While I appreciate the sticker and t-shirt from Case, don't you think the money it costs to produce hundreds of shirts and stickers could have been better spent?

3/07 ~ Email from Case offering $13,000 per year

3/21 ~ Notified by OSU that I am NOT a semi-finalist for the Moritz scholarship. Not that suprised, but i thought i had a chance (however small)

3/25 ~ withdrew from Akron and OSU. I will either be reapplying next cycle (staying at the FTC to get some work published) or attending Case.

4/04 ~ Put down the first seat deposit at Case. Basically spent $150 to have more time to decide. As of today I'm leaning toward going to Case in the fall.

4/29 ~ Attending Case for sure. Any others attending, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to seeing you all in the fall.

Was that scholarship a one time grant or $5k a year?

Hey there, It was a $9,000 Law-Medicine scholarship. I wrote my essay on and indicated an interest in health law, so maybe that's why it's that one in particular. Good luck!

What are some of the factors making you lean toward Case? It looks like you have already picked Case by withdrawing your other apps.

You have A LOT of good reasons to pick Case. Everyone says that both schools (Case/OSU) do about the same in Ohio. Have you heard anything regarding how they place?

Hey, I am planning to apply to some of the same schools and my stats are close... your info there looks encouraging :) Why did you choose Case over OSU? And - in any case - how are you liking it?
