Additional info & updates

All or nothin' right? I am well aware of my delusion, no need to address it here.

- Sorry I havent been keeping up to date. Here goes....

-Texas rejected me first, didn't even bother to hand-sign the letter..thanks a lot!

-Next came Chicago, my #1 choice. I appled ED, and they want nothing to do with me. I will say that the letter was hand-signed and their rejection was very well written. Just an all around classy school.

-Deferred at Santa Clara....well, thats where my good friend goes, and i like the school. not really my style though. I dont know if I would go.

-A barrage of rejections...GW, and hastings. Oh well. I liked hastings but the more i heard about the atmosphere there, and the locale, the more I was put-off. Of course, im only saying this b/c they dont want me. Im a like this in relationships too.

-DOM DOM DOM, Georgetown goes to "decision," I should get the letter tomorrow....I will update. Pray for me, even if you hate me, and what im trying to do here, it would be helpful.

Safeties?

It\\\'s worth applying to some of these schools -- I wouldn\\\'t say you\\\'re entirely delusional -- but why don\\\'t you apply to a couple more safeties, so that you can sleep at night? If you look into them, I think you\\\'ll find that some of the T3\\\'s & T4\\\'s have a lot to offer, too.

I applied to Berkley as an undergrad and had a bad experiance w/ them. It's irrational, but i dont like the school. T3, T4? Ouch...I know that that is where my numbers put me, but i am way too proud to even attempt those schools. iF I dont get in anywhere this cycle, ill re-take the lsats and try again next year...i know i f'ed up this year, but i figured ill give it a try, u never know (i hope.)

Safties...

I totally agree with jcc... Is this a serious posting? I mean, reach, but be realistic too. How about Cal Western or Whittier? Or even Seattle? You can always transfer. That looks like at least a G's worth of apps... Good luck to you. Doesnt being at 155 suck?

re-safties,,, how do you spell that anyw

my #'s brotha.....yes, i am indeed crazy. Yet I see that we are in identical situations thus far (texas rejects, santa clara deferrals) and i cant help but feel that you have better decision-making abilities than i do. nonetheless, my reasoning is such: I want to go to a good school, i can suceed at a good school, the only thing keeping me from doing so is this admissions process. so what i will do is try this crazy plan this year...the money is worth the dream, plus im a (evidently bad) gambler... and if i dont get in this year i will re-take the lsats like yourself and try again. if it dont work, well i guess ill find something to do.

If I have typos like that on my apps, Im hopeless. Good spirit. I like it. I got the S.C. letter today and before I opened it said, "yeah, yeah, I know, rejection, fuck off..." But hey, we live to fight another day. Fuck it Dude, lets go bowling!

i like your devil may care attitude, or at least how i am interpreting your profile. i say right on brotha, do what you feel is best for you and see what may come. to hell with safties

How arrogant of you...

You would never think of going to a T3 or T4? Well guess what? No T1 or T2 would ever think of accepting you. Grow up. I'm glad to see arrogant fools dealt what they deserve. If you were a bit more humble about your plight, I might root for you. As it stands, I'm glad you're batting a 0.0 right now.

Sorry if I was harsh. Your choice of words was probably not ideal, but I understand your stance. I was there last year! Good luck with the rest of your apps.

Just a Thought

I just read through the whole T3/T4 debate and I was just wondering why you don't apply to a T3 or T4 and then try to transfer to a T1 next year? You seem confident that it is just the admissions process that is keeping you from success. So, if you to to a T3 and rock your first year GPA I'd imagine that the T1s would more seriously consider you. Whatever happens, good luck!
