You will get in somewhere! Don't get yourself down about Charlotte because they're actually closing their doors. Also, the same company that owns Charlotte Law owns Florida Coastal and there is talk that Florida Coastal will be closing as well

I put LS on back burner and applied to an MBA program. However I just completed undergrad and find myself still truly wanting to go to law school and feeling like I just gave up after all these denials. I never studied for the LSAT, rather I took 1 prep test then the real thing and bombed it miserably. I think I will study and take the September or December test and give it another try this next upcoming cycle. I was just so adamant about continuing education asap because I'm nearly 30 with kids. But, if I want it, I have to slow down and work a bit harder.

Well I went ahead and sent my app to Cooley with a hopeful start date of Jan 2018. We'll see....

I was actually offered the summer course option for $500 at Charleston. I did not accept.

I retook the lsat after being rejected to cook this past spring I also just finished undergrad at the university of Toledo in December I resubmitted my app on the 5th still have a pending application good luck to you

What was your first LSAT score if you don't mind me asking?

My first lsat score was a 135 and I was Invited to participate in there pep program after evaluation was rejected but I retook and got a 145 submitted an application 7/5 went into review 7/10 and was unpdayed to still in review 7/19

I really cannot spell today, but thank you. I figured if I didn't retake it I didn't stand a chance so I sat for the June lsat, they may invite you to do PEP which is a week long program here in Lansing they put you in a hotel and you are taught torts have homework and a final exam and they evaluate you to either let you in or reject you and tell you to take the lsat again but you have a nice score if you do retake power score is a good company to get prep from(on amazon the books are 40 bucks cheaper)

I'm waitlisted at Capital. I will have to move if I get into Cooley and rejected at Capital. I'd love to get an answer soon! The wait is killing me. I check it multiple times a day, it's giving me anxiety.

Which, I wouldn't mind the adventure of moving to Michigan and going to Cooley!!

Same for me ! I actually did up and move to Michigan a few months back to adapt it's a must to get in now that I live here. It's a beautiful school. I check at least 10 times a day I just want to call and ask them

Ditto, I wish I could know now, lol. It is a beautiful state, I have heard!! I have 3 small children, I think they'd love it. Always up for a new adventure. Did you apply to start this fall-17 or Jan-18? I applied for the Jan 18 start date. To give me time to find a place and get situated, get the kids in school, etc. So, I hope to know soon. But I wonder if they will process all fall-start apps before even opening the winter-start apps..

It really is nice I live in the east Lansing area, I had to apply to the Jan 18 start because in January I applied for and didn't get in but with the new one I wrote admissions to be considered for the fall start. They review applications as they get in on a rolling bases and I know they've opened because of the review date updating

Good point. Fingers crossed to hear something soon. I'd love to get moved between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Hopefully you'll e able to settle in November before snow fall I moved in April and it was still snowing it sucked so bad. I'm so anxious my in review status updates but my decision status still says pending application with the date I applied there causing me anxiety

Yeah , I've never had anxiety like this!! I noticed it changed on mine one around 11 am. So I imagine it can occur at any given time of the day.

Yes same here ! I hope we hear back sometime this week! My anxiety is to much to handle if it's any longer. It's been almost a month since applying. My mom says this is good the first time I applied it only room 3 days to be invited to PEP and a week after completing to be rejected so maybe this is a good sign. Fingers crossed

Ditto. I have spent entirely too much time reading others' comments on here and a couple of months ago some recently accepted applicants were communicating (such as we are) and indicating it took nearly an entire month for their apps to get decisions from Cooley. Hopefully next week at the latest!!!

Yes it'll be a month since I applied if I don't hear anything by next week I'm calling admissions because I really want to be considered for a fall start.

Oh wow, you should get it by email any day now I would think. If not, today. Let me know, have you gotten anything today? Mine only change on mine is that the status date went away but it still says in review but there is no date below that anymore.

That's what I've read too, this is daunting!! Surely you got it, a 10 pt score increase is great. I'm sure you're checking your email like crazy.

yes! my anxiety is at an all time high knowing a decision was made last night and I still haven't been notified. When I originally applied and a decision was made I was notified within an hour. I've been checking every half hour

Oh I'm so sorry. Please don't give up, there are plenty of other schools. Do you have any idea what the reason may have been? Frankly I'm surprised by that. I personally am concerned for my own app because I have CF explanations from my juvenile years, I fear those will hold me back. Again - don't give up if law school is something you truly want. There are more schools.

I have no idea why I didn't get in, its a bummer because I live in Michigan Now. I'm super shocked. I didn't have anything from my CF that I had to explain you should be fine though. I hope you het in !

I ended up calling inquiring about how long it takes to be notified and they said they were going to mail it but could email it and then that was that

no they said they would send m the email today and I got it a few minutes later, I honestly don't know why I didn't get in. people with my same score and gpa get in all the time I'm just confused and over it, they told me to reapply with a high score and I did but I guess that wasn't enough

spoke to someone on a different committee in admissions they did not understand why I was rejected and why I was told I couldn't reapply, this has been quit the day. so I was advised to write an email to admissions for clarification she said that it could have been a mistake

Wow!! I would definitely be persistent on that myself. Let me know what you find out. Fingers crossed it was a mistake or glitch!! I still find it odd that the date disappeared on my status checker!

I hope its good news for you and I hope I get some solid answer because I would sit for the LSAT in December if I could reapply or if it was a mistake they can have all my money today. She did say that they mailed out packets and letters today so you may here something this week or you could give them a call

Heard back nothing helpful, dreams of going there have died, going to start my masters on the first of the month and sit for the December LSAT hoping to increase mu score into the mid 50s or 60s and I'll be re applying to Michigan state and applying to the university of Michigan. although cooley was a dream it wasn't meant for me. I've also applied to Florida costal as an option for the summer of 2018 ... please keep me updated with your status I do hope you get in !!

Well bummer, I'm sorry to hear that. I am enrolled at a local school for an MBA program, that's my safety degree, although I surely hope to get into Cooley or Capital. I hope to know soon. I'll keep you posted! Don't give up!!

I'm definitely not giving up I'm sitting for the lsat this winter for the third time sign hopes at a score higher than 145 until then I'll be getting my masters from an online school and saving up for the day I actually go to law school

Well I got in to Cooley! I chose the Januaury start semester, so I have the next few months to move and get settled in.

Congratulations on getting into cooley ! I also applied to Cooley ( Fall 2017) and I'm still waiting for a decision . I have a few questions if you don't mind answering . 1. How were you notified of your acceptance ( email or regular mail ) 2. On your online tracker , did your status update ever say " no decision made " ?. My online tracker currently says that and i think the admissions committee put my file on hold ( could be good news , it's better than a rejection ) .

Hi! Congrats on Cooley I just called and they said a decision was made, but could not tell me over the phone. An email will be send out between today or tomorrow I'm a little concern but honestly at this point, I have a great job and I am successful, so if it's in Gods plan for me to go law school, I'm sure it will happen... if not, then there is a reason. does your online tracker still say "decision made " and does cooley notify you of rejections over email ?

this was my second time applying the will email and mail you decisions but off you call and speak to someone they will usually email it too you per your request

Hey all, sorry for delay in responding. The tracker continually said in teview and the status date changed a couple of times, until ultimately it ready "file review complete" then to the right ot read "decision made" i did call and inquire of how I would be notified, thwy said an email would come within 1-2 days followed by mail. One day after the file review complete on the status, I received an email at noon on the dot.

Accepted to Cooley. Planning on starting there in Jan. A bit discouraged by the recent revelations by the ABA and fear my future, so tossing out some more apps to other schools. If not accepted I'll still start and kick ass in hopes of transferring..

Applied again, studied and increased my LSAT score. Hope this 18-19 cycle fares better than the 17-18!
