Hey, I was just wondering if your "complete" and "decision" dates from W&L are accurate. That's a pretty quick turn-around! Congrats.

thanks

Congratulations

I'm applying to W&L and Arizona too. Those are definitely some quick turnarounds on the complete/decision dates. Is that Minnesota ED binding?

You know both Cornell and Minnesota do not have ED programs, right? Congrats on your acceptances!

Congrats on all of your success thus far! We're looking at a lot of the same schools, do you have any top choices thus far? If you ahve any questions about W&M, let me know, I'd be happy to give you some insider info.!

Numbers Twin

Hey, looks like we have practically identical numbers, and similar acceptances. What do you think about Minnesota?

Hey there!

I'm on my way to class, but I'll send you an email on W&M when I get home (just wanted you to expect a foreign email address in your inbox ;)). Congrats again! I'm big on IP too, so hopefully we'll be able to exchange some good info!

Hi, Are you a PhD student or do you already have a PhD? If so, have you found this something that is desirable to law schools?

Withdrawals and a PhD
Friday, October 21 2005 at 08:00 PM

dritsic, I am currently in a PhD program and will be finishing before I start law school in the fall. I'm not sure how much having a PhD affected my acceptances, rather I believe it played a part in getting better scholarship offers. I'm hoping that in 3 years having a PhD will help me find a better job in the field of intellectual property. jennifer, I am currently withdrawing from the majority of my accepted schools, as you can see above. I hope people who need spots in those schools will get them. And curious person, I think that my first choices are in no particular order: - Franklin Pierce Law Center - Syracuse University - University of Washington - Chicago-Kent IIT - William and Mary (As you can see, these are the 5 places I will not yet be withdrawing from - I'm waiting for financial aid info from these places before I make any decisions).

Thanks

elijah5 for the info. Where are you getting your PhD from? Do you plan to get into IP law?

Withdrawals
Monday, June 27 2005 at 08:00 PM

You've withdrawn from some amazing schools. Is your final decision based on money/financial aid? Do you have other reasons? I'm just curious as to why you'd turn down $ from some very good schools like Notre Dame and Minnesota. Good luck with your decision!

I've always had a list of my favorite schools and I just recently narrowed my choices down based on that list as well as financial aid and scholarships. I wish I could afford to go to any school I wanted, but that's not the case. Good luck to you in your decision!

W&M
Wednesday, March 08 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey there It looks like W&M is one of my top choices right now too...any reason why you withdrew from wash&lee and wake?

Syracuse
Thursday, February 23 2006 at 07:00 PM

Is there anything in particular that caused you to choose Syracuse over some of the higher or equally ranked school besides the money? I'm also considering Syracuse with a scholarship, but it's lower ranking and limited placement outside of the NY/NE area somewhat concerns me. Thanks.
