Additional info & updates

1/22/2006
Temple - large white envelope; $10,000 per year, all 3 years
DePaul - large envelope that said "Welcome to Depaul," took a bit of the suspense out of the whole thing, but the $54,000 they offered made me smile
Hastings - just checked my status online, it said Admitted!

2 More!
Maryland - checked my status online in the morning; said 'Your application is complete and under review', came home to find a large white envelope that said 'Congratulations'
San Diego - medium sized manilla envelope

Hastings packet came today, that makes it official. I'm in!

Acceptance from Kent via e-mail and nasty fakeout from Case. Opened my mail box to find large white envelope from Case, thought it was an acceptance packet, turned out to be the admissions bulletin.

2/2/2005
Acceptance packet from Kent. Scholarship $20,000/year, if I maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Big day today. I checked my e-mail before class to find a 'Congratulations, you've been accepted' e-mail from University of Illinois. I am absolutely overjoyed that I managed to crack the top 30 and now consider myself the soft factor queen, as I am certain my GPA and LSAT score were not what secured my admission. After a long day on campus I came home to find a *gasp* small white envelope from BC, fortunately it was not a rejection, but a notice that I have been placed on the Priority Waitlist. At least there is still hope! For now I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying to the Law School Gods to allow me to attend law school somewhere in Boston.

George Mason waitlist! Ha, no big surprise on that one. Just before submitting my PS I realized they wanted 500 words, mine was 1400. Of course, I did the logical thing to do when applying to a school one does not care about and just deleted chunks of text until I had 500 words. Did I read it? No. Did it make any sense? Doubtful.

Leaning towards UIUC, have to wait for and see if boyfriend gets into Berkeley for Grad School, then maybe Hastings. Had lovely phone chats with students from both and they both sound great. Sigh, where are you BU? Just send the rejection letter already and save me from this maniacal mailbox checking.

Received voicemail message from Mr.Schwartz @ Cardozo, called back and found out I am admitted. Scholarship info coming in 2-3 weeks. And then there was one...

3/20/2006
Visited BU and BC last week. I may very well have been the only Floridian to go North for spring break. I have to say BC may have been the most awesome place to go on St. Patty's Day as there were about a dozen 1L's doing Irish Car Bombs in the back of a Property class I sat in on. Meanwhile, boyfriend got some sad news from grad schools in SF and Boston. So it looks like we're both off to become Fighting Illini ! I am super excited, as it is by far the best school I've gotten into and can see myself being quite happy there.

and another thing...the Priority Waitlist at BC is a myth, apparently. There's no such thing a the regular waitlist, so I really don't know why they give you false hope and call it 'Priority'

4/2/2006
Called BU to find out what the deal was. They told me I was waitlisted. Bah! After all that, I wish they just had the balls to reject me. Anyways, I sent in my first deposit to UIUC! Super excited about going there and making a triumphant return to the midwest.

Thanks for the tip, I've got a hot man, but I may be swayed by UIUC's academics.

I know, this question is slightly pathetic...but what time of day did you receive the email from UIUC? This way I can time my incessant email page refreshing for optimum results. OMG, I think I've reached the pathetic stage ;o). Thanks and congrats on your acceptances!
