Additional info & updates

Not sure how I feel about my LSAT. I was sick and meds started to wear of towards the end so I bombed the last section (which was logical reasoning and normally my best). Decided not to retake though because I feel like my current score will be perfectly fine for the majority of my schools.

Overall I feel that my LORs are pretty strong. All three recommenders know me very well on both a personal/professional or academic level and I feel like that will show in the letters.

10/18- Now that LSAT scores are in, it is time to get to work! This week is my fall break so I am hoping to start grinding out those Apps.

11/21-About half of my apps are in. Ughh this is such a process. Unfortunately this process has also slowed down given that most of the other schools have less generic personal statements or some type of additional essay that will require multiple drafts. Is anyone else really annoyed by this? Also, I am already under review at Berkeley, which kind of sucks because I am pretty sure I am going to get Dinged there, and I don't want to start off the cycle with a rejection. Oh well. Best of luck to everyone else!

12/21- hoping for some more good news before xmas!!!

Congrats on your LSAT score! We are applying to a lot of the same schools but I think you're a little more qualified than me numbers-wise lol. Good Luck!!

Thanks! Honestly, I have been so consumed with studying for the LSAT that I haven't even taken the time to research each school thoroughly and pick a favorite. Obviously I'm going to be interested in the best school I get into, but I will also be taking money into consideration as well.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot, same to you! What school are you thinking is your first choice at this point?

Monday, January 26 2009 at 07:00 PM

Emory is my first choice, but Wake is a very close second. I'm hoping the same thing about a full scholarship or something very close to it....being able to graduate with almost no debt is very appealing.

To be honest I just really like the south. I've worked on Hilton head island in sc for the past couple summers. Is wake where you go for undergrad?

Wednesday, October 01 2008 at 08:00 PM

Probably UNC. You can't beat in-state tuition! haha. That's followed pretty closely by UGA and Wake, though. How about you?

Wednesday, October 01 2008 at 08:00 PM

Is in-state tuition easy to get here? I know in some states it is, but I have no idea about NC. Good luck with Wake! I don't think you'll have any problems.

OMG I am so sick of looking at apps! They sucked! Prior to my cycle, I was told that it was easy to apply because of LSAC. Those people only applied to 3 schools so ya, I'm sure it was easy!! lol I hate the LSAC system and how each law school wants something just a little different. UGH! Good luck in your cycle!

Tuesday, December 23 2008 at 07:00 PM

I don't even want to talk about the LSAT. lol it sucked so bad. I'm done applying, but I might throw in one or two more if I really want to... but I doubt it... Especially after MSU. Ya, I hate waiting too. Each school is so different. Some say it will take 2-3 weeks, some say they don't even start looking until Jan. Ugh!!!! I would just sit down and get all your apps in asap. The sooner you have them in, the better your chances. Good luck with everywhere!

Twin!

Hey! Good luck with your cycle - you're practically my twin! I'm a Criminology & Criminal Justice and Government and Politics double major with a 3.82 and a 166. What's your top choice? good luck!! :)

:)

haha well goodluck with whichever one becomes your top choice! : ) My top is Duke...I'm just really hoping they'll give me a shot at the waitlist instead of an auto-ding...we'll see....fingers crossed! good luck again!

Hahaha really??? I was at the same open house for Wake, was in the car on the way back when I got the e-mail. I think there is a very strong possibility I will be attending.

I did visit back in November. I liked it a lot, the small town made me slightly hesitant, but everyone did say that because the class was so close they kinda made their own fun. As I was leaving they were starting up a game of football complete with kegs on the sideline right outside the law schools doors.
