Additional info & updates

Feb. 26- Just got waitlisted at Notre Dame. I guess there is still hope.

Feb. 27-Just found out I got a nice scholarship to Hofstra. So any advice on taking a better school or a better deal would be welcome. Something I will have to consider as I hear back from other schools.

Mar. 1- Newark-Rutgers offered me 6k. Not nearly as much as Hofstra but its cheaper. It looks like people are getting better jobs from there too. I'm still hoping for an accept from a top 20.

Mar. 6- George Mason called to tell me I'm in. My first phone call. I like the phone call although I don't know what to say other than "Thanks, that's great."

Mar. 7- Cardozo called to tell me I was in and I said,"what about a little love in the money department?" The dean laughed and said he would look into it.

Mar. 9- Got a 11,500 scholarship from Brooklyn Law. Also went to an event and really had a good time. I get a great feel for the school, but I guess everyone does during the "flirting" stage. I am actually considering them more and more... send any advice about them.

Mar. 16- Page went decision at Cornell, but no links to admitted students page. I was pretty sure I wasn't getting in there anyway, but knowing that the first reject is in the mail is still a bit unhappy. At this point it's just good to hear from schools so I can start to make plans.

Mar. 16- I had pretty much ruled out Cardozo because I couldn't afford it, but then I got a 20K offer in the mail today. That puts them back on my list.

Mar. 20- Got my first rejection today from Michigan in a cold and heartless white envelope. I knew it was coming but to see it in writing is a little bit of a bummer. I have at least 2 more coming, as I have no shot at Cornell or Penn. Hopefully I can squeeze into one of the others.

Mar. 20- Accepted at Denver. I'm waiting to see if I received money.

Mar. 28-In at Minnesota. Large white envelope. I think this is where I will be going. I wasn't sure I would get into a T20 after the string of waitlist I had gotten.

Mar. 28- Waitlisted at Boston U. I'm going to withdraw. Still thinking Minn. is better for me. I think I'll be coming off the Notre Dame and BC waitlist this week too.

April 10- GW reject letter was cliche. I can see why Cornell is the IVY. Their rejection letter rocked. They left me feeling worthwhile and fulfilled.

April 26- Most likely going to Minnesota. Penn might suprise me or I might end up loving NY to much to leave, but it is looking like I'll be freezing next winter.

They informed me via snail mail of my scholarship offer. I'll likely be withdrawing soon, so maybe they'll send some of that money your way.

I think you'll get in at Minnesota, but I thought I'd get in at Fordham. Screw em, though.

I go to hofstra as an undergrad, but my good friend is a 2L. She is absolutely miserable and hates it. I know as an undergrad, most of us seem to be displeased, but I think the same thing happens at the law school level atleast from those I have spoken with.... you will definitely get into FU, take it :) good luck

Do you mind my asking when you sent your app to Minn and if you were on the waitlist prior to being accepted? We have similar soft factors and numbers, but I haven't even gone complete yet (late app). Good luck getting off the ND waitlist, and congrats on all your acceptances!

Wondering if you are still considering CU or if you have withdrawn. I am really hoping to get in off the waitlist. Thanks.
