FEE WAIVERS

Baylor University
Florida Coastal School of Law
Hofstra University
Liberty University
Quinnipiac University
Regent University

Native Appalachian hoping that being a "minority" will boost chances. Would love to go to Kentucky Law, as I am an undergrad there, but I don't see that happening notwithstanding some dumb luck. My LSAT score is in the mediocre range. So, I am excited to explore my options. I am looking at mostly second-tier schools, but my first priority is price, so schools with scholarship offers will likely take precedence.

3 LORs, two from Ph. D.s, third from Honors prof. with Masters. Hoping for the best on these.

UPDATES
-------------
12/7: So far, LSAC apps for UK, NKU, Louisville, and Appalachian are sent; app. fees for all four schools except Appalachian (ridiculous $60 fee for one of the lowest schools in the lowest tier) are sent. Louisville and NKU have confirmed reception by e-mail and they have requested my LSAC report. LSAC has still not reported receiving one of my letters of rec., which was sent over a month ago. I hope this is not cause for concern.

12/10: Quinnipiac application sent, and fee waiver going out tomorrow. Fingers crossed for any sort of a scholarship!

12/11: Indiana-Bloomington has confirmed app. reception via snail mail. Suh-weet.

12/13: Appalachian fee waiver sent. All is quiet on the law school front.

12/18: UK acknowledged receipt of application by mail. Nervous much!

12/21: Recieved LSAT score of 159. I am satisfied with this and hope it will get me into UK - any speculations?

1/3: NKU application file is complete and awaiting review.

1/8: Appalachian School of Law acceptance. White business-size envelope. So I'm at least going to law school!

1/13: NKU acceptance. Small brown envelope.

1/23: KENTUCKY ACCEPTANCE!!!!! I'M GONNA BE A 1L AT UK BABY!!!

1/24: Appalachian offers full-tuition scholarship. Tempting offer, but no thanks.

1/27: Louisville acceptance. It's a hard one to turn down.

American is a nice school. My parents live east of DC, so I took a trip to all the schools in the city. AU is in the western portion of DC, close to the Virginia line. The only problem is that area is very very expensive. You may want to look at Catholic. It's not as difficult to get in to...
