Fee Waivers from: Duke, U of Michigan, U of Virginia, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Washing U in St. Louis, Cornell, U Penn

Berkeley offered matching scholarship for any top 14 school other than Northwestern

11/28 - Georgetown came in a small yellow envelope, with a personal message from Andy. Exciting.

12/4 - Duke Priority track response - accepted. Big blue folder like thing with bookmark, letter, magazine, other info. Impressed by quick response.

12/18 - Email from Edward Tom, in at Berkeley. Materials sent a little while later.

12/28- Vanderbilt acceptance in a small envelope, almost overlooked it in the mail.

2/4 - Northwestern email acceptance, followed by letter online accessible. Binder/materials sent via FedEx a couple of days later.

2/12 - Washington U. email acceptance. Binder sent a couple of days later

2/21 - Boston University call from Dean of Admissions. Materials to follow. Freaked, cause she called my cell and I thought it was Harvard (due to area code). Great to get in though, the call was nice.

3/2 - Waitlisted from both UVA and Michigan. Hmmm. Withdrawing most likely
3/5 - Waitlisted at Penn. I'm going to stay on this one.

3/8 - In at NYU!!! Woo hoo, cracked the top 5. A welcome relief after 3 straight waitlists.

3/9 - First rejection. Harvard. No surprise there.

4/8 - Second rejection. Columbia. It's down to Boalt, Duke, and NYU now. Where to go!

Decision: NYU here we come!

Congrats on Northwestern! Do you have post-undergrad work experience?

Thanks for the congrats. Yes, I will have by the fall 3 years of Financial Services experience. Northwestern, as a rule, seems to heavily favor work experience so I'm sure it helped me.

withdrawing?

Just curious if you'll be withdrawing any of your apps since you got into Berkeley? Just curious... :) You have awesome options!

I will probably withdraw a couple of them, but I'm still strongly considering NW and Duke. Best of luck to you in your apps.

Congrats! You are my number twin. Good luck with Columbia.

after the BU acceptance did the scholarship info come? And had you already sent in your tax forms? I just saw something about that today and I'm freaking out. Thanks!

I sent in my deposit to Columbia, so I'm just trying to find the best way to tell NYU "thanks, but maybe you should have offered me money." ha ha
