My boyfriend got in to Harvard(LSN name: WithanEEL), so I'll be in Boston for Law School

I'll be at BC next year. Yes, it is lower ranked than BU, but there is more to a school besides its US News rank

Congrats on BC from someone with similar numbers (although I don't quite tickle the 4.0 realm; that's damned impresive). It looks like you dropped about a dozen C-notes on aplications to then have it narrowed down to the three Boston schools. Ouch. You should raise hell and demand refunds. Congrats on the bf getting into Harvard. I've heard of that school before, it's supposed to be pretty nice.

I sincerely appreciate your comments and concerns. =) I have a very serious relationship with my bf that's lasted for over 3.5 years. We've been friends since we were 14 and 15 (I guess 6 years now), and it is very unlikely that we will break up. I guess were unofficially engaged if you want to call it something. I should also add that I plan on doing public sector work, which as you probably know, doesn't pay that well. The average starting salary is about the same, regardless of where you go to law school. Just having a law degree puts you miles ahead of everyone else. They are so grateful to have lawyers wanting to do that type of work that they dont even care where the degree is from. Also, with my LSAT score BU or BC is probably the top ranked law schools I'll be admitted too. And BU is ranked higher than Notre Dame--BU is 20 and ND is 24-- and BU is only 3 spots lower than ND at 27. So there is more to the story than what I wrote in the additional comments section, and sometimes picking a law school goes beyond the rankings.

Thank you! and Congrats to u as well. BU contacted me through a phone call, i wasnt able to pick it up because i was at work but the admissions rep left a voice message. The said that there would be a packet arriving in the mail soon. I dont know if they will send it to my perm or my local address. I'll keep you posted when i get something. Good luck!

is the date of the Duke WL decision the one on the letter or the day you got it? also, are you going to stay on? I'm assuming not, given the Boston issue-- good luck with your choice by the way- I may see you at BU this fall depending on the rest of this cycle :)

There's MUCH more to a school than the US News Ranking. Any Dean, or anyone with at least half a brain will tell you that the methodology is SO poor that after you get out of the top 20, that number should be of no consequence. Don't sweat the rankings, BC is an awesome school! You'll have a blast, AND be close to your BF. I, on the other hand, will be shlepping down to TX while my GF finishes Dental School here at NYU. Oh well... it's for the best, as she wants to practice in TX someday. Speaking of which, when you call to tell SMU you don't need your seat, make sure you tell Dean Keehan that she's free to use your scholarship offer to sweeten Anthony's deal. She'll know who I am :) Good luck in Beantown!
