Additional info & updates

Got into Suffolk. Feels so good to get in somewhere!

1-18-07
Got into NESL and Roger Williams.

1-31-07
Accepted at Rutgers-Camden via email. They are sending the official letter and a T-shirt!

3-22-07
Rejected from Northeastern via snail mail. It doesn't feel good to be rejected, but I wasn't excited about going there anyway.

I think I'll end up at Suffolk!

Oh man, so I'm going to Rutgers-Camden.

My reasoning:
-It's the best school I got into (the only one in the top 100)
-The in-state tuition is half of what I'd pay elsewhere
-I can live at home in an *posh* suburb 15 miles away, without my parents, for free.
-They have the Environmenal Law concentration
-Their career placement rates are good and the starting salaries of graduates is pretty high

This also helped me decide:

I went to Undergrad in Boston and we applied to alot of the same schools. I heard Suffolk is really great and some schools don't charge extra tuition for being an out of state student. You should check into it. I'm hoping for BC or BU also but my Lsat is much lower then yours. Good Luck!!

NESL

Did NESL call to notify you of your acceptance?

No, I didn't receive any phone call from NESL. Just a large envelope. I was surprised to hear back to quickly actually.

Hey - Congrats on your many acceptance offers! I was wondering how you applied to get such great financial aid?? Any advice you have would be great, I have NO idea how I am going to pay for law school.

NESL v. Suffolk

Too bad about Northeastern, Im sure I will get my letter soon as well. I think I am leading towards NESL bc of the money. I am going to the admitted students thing on Friday to check it out.. Good luck with BU!!

Rutgers-Camden is a great school, but it is in the worst city of New Jersey! Camden last year was voted the most dangerous city in America. So good choice on passing up a tough decision. I am checking out Suffolk and NESL the weekend of April 13th. Hopefully all goes well!

Rutgers Camden is a Tier 2 school not a Tier 1.
