Additional info & updates

11/18 FIRST ACCEPTANCE!! Woke up to an email from William and Mary saying I've been accepted. SO EXCITING! They are one of my top choices. Looking forward to the mailed admittance package.

11/20 Got email from Washington and Lee saying a decision would be made by the end of the day. Only 15 minutes later I got another email saying I've been accepted!!

11/20 Just got accepted to Penn State Law with full tuition!

11/20 Today is the day of acceptance! I just got into George Washington!!!! That's my top choice! We'll see what sort of financial aid...

11/22 I received a phone call from the dean of admissions at Richmond Law this evening, notifying me of my admission! Excited, but wondering why they're working Sunday night!?

11/24 Just got a call from the Dean of Admissions at Alabama Law with my acceptance and $20,000 a year scholarship!

12/03 Email acceptance to northeastern, 20,000/year scholarship

12/10 Email acceptance to Pittsburgh

1/8 First rejection, from Georgetown, I was expecting it.

I was not accepted to the full tuition binding arrangement at George Mason, and am moved to regular admissions. I'm actually relieved about it. I went to visit a lot of schools in Virginia/ DC and decided there were several others I liked more.

2/2 wow! I just got a packet in the mail accepting me to Emory with a 93k scholarship over three years!!

3/8 Unfortunately I was rejected from UVA. I'm definitely not surprised, but they kept my hopes up by waiting so long to reply. This does make my decision very easy though!

4/1 George Mason FINALLY accepted me via phone call

Why aren't you aiming for higher ranked schools? Seems like a lot of these are safeties.

Ha, good question actually. I have pretty low confidence because of what my GPA calculated out to be. I've considered retaking the LSAT because I was practicing at a 169 but test day stress got to me. I also need financial aid, so I'm assuming if I go to a lower ranked school I'm more likely to get a full tuition scholarship... Idk. I've been thinking about applying to a couple more higher ranked.

Congrats

We have similar numbers. Congrats on an amazing cycle so far.

Thanks! Ya I've been mostly pleased. I've just noticed with numbers like ours we'll get into good schools, but not a lot of money. I didn't get any money from GW, which was my top choice... But that's ok! Good luck on your cycle!

Did you interview with Georgetown? I'm expecting either a WL or ding from them soon, and I was just wondering how your process went after going complete. Congrats on your other acceptances! William and Mary seems like a cool place, I'll be visiting there soon :)

No, I was never invited to interview there. I just went completed and then a few months later rejected. I am actually going to visit all the dc/ Virginia schools next week to see what way I'm leaning.

Any idea where you will go? I would definitely leverage those higher ranking school scholarships at other tier 1 schools. Mason may also be willing to give a lot of funding given the recent 30 million dollar donation; I've also heard that Dean Butler is very willing to negotiate and adjust scholarships (if you are even still interested). You have a lot of great options and I'm sure you will thrive wherever you go!

Ya, I went out and visited all of the Virginia Schools and I've decided on Washington and Lee! I loved the small town feel. George Mason has a great program for what I'm wanting to do but for some reason they waited an insanely long time to respond to my application and by that point I had already kinda made up my mind on the other school.

That's incredible! Congratulations :) :) :)
