WF wait-list

saw your question about WF on another's comments; they called and said, 'you were placed on hold for Wake Forest Law and have just been taken off. You have 5 days to make a decision. I called and they gave me a 2 week extension to visit the campus'. At WF atm visiting and it's really pretty, very nice faculty, small (160) entering class; I overheard a phone conversation while waiting for the admissions director about how they're having trouble filling up the spots and that they had the same process last year (long and drawn out). While I was there someone even called and declined their acceptance, so, I think they're going to go pretty deep if I had to guess. They had 130 so far (out of 160), from what I gathered (haha this is all top secret I be t), so look for 30 more spots to open up. Hope that helps and goodluck with WFL, maybe i'll see you there next year.

kaki153's message was written either yesterday or the day before, but I am not sure when he went to visit. I don't think it was too long ago though

I am impressed with Wake Forest but I already put a deposit on UConn. I just don't want to put down a second deposit with Vandy and BU still pending because if I get into one of those I can't turn it down. Even though Wake is probably better than UConn, it costs like 3 times as much. Their both essentially regional schools with Wake being more prestigious in academic circles. Hopefully Vandy or BU will come through.

Not sure what is going on with the class right now. Just waiting it out like you. What's your profile name, I am curious as to what your stats are.

Quick FYI, I sent WF an email late last night to withdraw, she sent a confirmation email this morning. Goodluck man, keep me posted!

I put this on my profile but I didn't know if you would see it there. But re:Wake I got that letter (5/19). I live only about 30 minutes from the Wake campus so it's possible that more are on the way. The letter has a card to fill out if you are still interested in attending. Thanks for the congrats and good luck.

WF update

Since I know there are some others who are waiting on Wake I thought I would update. Today 5-23 I received a letter asking if I wanted to be placed on the preferred wait-list (I don't know if there is a non-preferred wait list) and that their class was currently full but that they expected to take some applicants off the wait-list after the second deposit date of June 15th. I would appreciate anyone else sharing their story about either getting this letter or another (I called last week and they told me they were sending out either accepts, maintain wait-list, or deactivating people).

I got the same thing - i'm hoping some people withdraw soon so i'll be able to find something out, but i'm willing to hold out for a while. what about you?

I live in Michigan now so it did take a few days for the letter to get to me. When I called early last week they told me they were sending out either accepts, deactivations, or asking if you want to stay on wait-list. However, I think that they were calling the people they were going to send "accepts" to first so if you haven't heard from them yet I would figure it would have to be a stay on the wait list or deactivation (thats basically what I assumed for myself and I was correct). But anyways. good luck and let me know what your letter says.

Until I hear of someone actually either getting rejected or receiving a different wait-list letter I am going to have to assume there are a good 200 or so people on the wait-list but obviously not everyone is sincerely interested in attending so will just hav to see what happens.

I received a call 5/24 that I got taken off the waitlist, and like kak153 had 5 days to make a decision. I did withdraw though, so I hope that helps some of you out on here.
