I've got an evil past with the LSAT and I really don't want to deal with that beast again. I do realize almost every school takes the higher score but at this point I'm to far along and I've spent to much money to start over. There is a chance I may not even go to law school and instead get my PhD.
Good luck to you too!
Hey Johny, glad to see another Full-time paralegal plus part-time student on the boards. I thought I was all alone. I did that trek too. Where do you work at? I work at a law firm in Bel Air. Got my undergrad at VJC (n/k/a Stevenson U). I'm applying only to UB 'cause I can't move the kiddie. My LSAT wasn't that great either; I was proud of myself though since it was my 1st standardized tests; never sat for SATs, etc. - didn't need to. I was wondering if you've received your PW and User ID from UB yet. Did they send you an e-mail or by snail mail. Thanks for any info u can give me. Pop me an e-mail if you'd like to chat. I wish you the best of luck!!
Hey, Johny. Finally got the user ID and PW last Friday; checked it Monday evening before leaving work and it said "complete." Now just waiting to hear back. Check my page for a message from "Mike" about Maryland. I sent him to get more information about the LSATs for Maryland's Evening Program. Perhaps that an option for you too? Good luck on that blasted LSAT. Let me know how you do. I may join you shortly if nothing happens.
No.. not yet... Ofcourse like everyone else I've worn a tread in the carpet from all of the pacing back and forth. I guess no news is good news cause the 1st time I applied it took them no time to send out my rejection letter. But I do hope to hear something pretty soon (fingers crossed!)
She interviwed people from the area and it just talked about how Depression and perscription drug abuse is prevalent because there's nothing else to do, they're an industrial town because of the coal mines and they are well below the poverty level...bottom line: It was real depressing....
Good Luck on the Feb LSAT...
I'm suppose to visit in 2 weeks but I don't have the money to waste if I'm not in... My money is a little funny (like everyone's else!) and I'd rather put it towards a seat deposit then to waste it on gas!
I am applying for the 2010 cycle as well, and am taking the Sep LSAT. If you have to go to Cooley, and thats an option I may face, what are your plans for housing?
Thanks alot johny for all of the positive feedback/support, I appreciate it. Good luck on the Sept LSAT I wish u all the best in the 2009/10 Cycle. Regardless of what people think/say, U CAN DO IT!!!! P.S. I'll b watching :)
Good luck on your apps this year, I hope you get some better options!
I was reading your journal entries and thought about how big of a mistake it was to take my second LSAT sick as well. I was @ the start of a nasty virus & didn't realize until a week later when I was bedridden that I was coming down w/ the Swine Flu...never been so sick in my life but hoped for the best...when I got my score back I was like what an idiot I am...I should have canceled my score in the beginning. Anyway...enough of my ranting...good luck...I'm sure you'll get in somewhere this cycle
Were you accepted?
Thank you so much. I just don't know what the different statuses are. Mine still says application complete and never went to "in review". Thanks for sharing.
Hi we have similar numbers...and I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with this cycle...question are you going to apply to the Southern Law Center or Florida A & M...never hurts to apply...it just costs...Again good luck and enjoy the holiday season
hey man, my goal is the same; graduate law school with as little debt as possible. It can be done. Good luck on this cycle..I will be watching your status.
Hey man, Just a suggestion. I would drop a few apps at St Thomas (MN) and Hamline University. They seem to really want URMS. That is if you are not opposed to moving to Minnesota.
Are you going to take it in December?
