Oh yea, I hear ya on that. But the part-time program usually goes for a little lower numbers 161-166 (in case you wondered). Later

Hey, did you apply for the Matthews/Singletary/Wethington fellowship yet? Are you going to?

I also applied to OSU and Baylor and am interested to know when to expect decisions, how early did you apply, when did you hear, etc? Best of luck to you this cycle!

No, I still haven't heard. I have been waiting on my December LSAT so the majority of my apps are just now complete. Thanks for the support. Have you decided where you are going to go?

Ashland/Combs Scholarship

Did you get a letter to schedule an interview for the Ashland/Combs scholarships?

UK hasnn't accepted me yet, but yesterday I received an interview for the scholarships. Maybe that letter got a little ahead of my acceptance. Have you heard anything on what types of questions they ask?

Stiff competition

Yea, I agree. The interview is only 30 minutes so it can't be that bad. Good luck!

Congrats on the fee waiver sweep. Isn't that nice? We get to save all the choices for later. Looks like you already have plenty!

how's it going

I had my interview for the combs/ashland scholarships today. When is yours? Any idea if KY is in the running for you? Goood luck on the rest of you apps!

In the running

By in the running, I mean are you considering UK?

Combs/Ashland
Thursday, December 07 2006 at 07:00 PM

I'm not sure how many people interview, but I would assume it is every strong applicant they get (over 160 LSAT). If I had to guess I would say it will be about 35 people minimun, and that makes for some stiff competition. I know if I got the Combs or Ashland scholarship I would definitely consider, but in regards to merit scholarships they only offered me 15K (7,4,4 respectively), that doesn't put much of a dent in tuition as a 2L or 3L. I guess I'm just going to wait and see what some of my other schools offer and how these UK scholarships turn out. Did your scholarships come with GPA conditions? You know they have a 2.8 curve. I mean, seriously, how bout a 3.0 guys?

I got a packet in the mail with my acceptance. Not really planning on going there though. Good luck with the rest of your schools!

Curious, how much inbetween time did you recieve your acceptance & scholarship info?

UK
Thursday, December 07 2006 at 07:00 PM

Yea, I sent her a letter to see if she would have my scholarship reconsidered. Several weeks after no response, I followed up with an e-mail. She e-mailed me back that day and said it would be reconsidered after the Combs/Ashland awards were announced. She didn't sound very happy about it. In fact, there were several other questions I asked in my letter that she explicity said she "did not have time to answer". Take it for what it is worth, but it doesn't sound like they get too thrilled when people question their awards.

Decided?
