I noticed we're applying to a bunch of the same schools. Have you visited any of the NY area schools? Have you taken your LSAT? Good luck!

Cardozo is in a gorgeous area of NYC. The law school is one building (9 or 11 stories). I was incredibly impressing with the library (but it is closed saturdays).

Yep, it is closed EVERY saturday. During exams, it opens after sunset.

It is fairly religious. The building is kosher. There are mezzuzahs on every door.

I love Cardozo because it's kosher!

Yeah I know it's a lot, but I figured I might as well since most all of them will be free for me (minus the $12 report fee). I'm also doing it because I am such a splitter, so I'm not too sure how it will all turn out. How are you feeling about your chances?

The school was just awesome. It was one of the first I visited. The school is in one building (4-5 floors). I loved it mostly because of the prestige of the health law program.

I applied ED to Brooklyn, so I'm hoping I'll get in and don't have to worry about the W&L waitlist. If I don't then I might head out there.

Yes... I do feel much better about things. It is pretty amazing. The waiting is pretty tough for me...I am quickly realizing how much of a control freak I am.... opps. But I still foresee some late night applying.... I am glad to see that I am not the only one who does that to try to deal with the stress. hehe. :)

Yeah, don't feel bad... I submitted apps to Maryland and W&L in the middle of the night. I have also filled out Ohio and Iowa several times.... I have really lost it. But we wil be fine...... right? :) One day at a time right? But looks like we have several schools in common... maybe we will end up at the same school stressing about school together. lol.

I hope so. I have a good friend who has a job in DC for next year... so it would be nice to go to a new city with a friend. But who knows... I sent in my american app a long time ago. We still have several schools in common... so we will see.

I like the snow!! :)... for the most part. Another school in common though so that is cool. I have run out of schools to apply to. it is sad.

My numbers are in the range of these (high LSAT, low GPA)...if you were getting excited about American from my numbers I would not let "not my real numbers" discourage you...good luck!

Ya, im actually sort of pleased with the wl at GW. They were my number one choice overall, and definitely a big reach, so i will push as much as I can for this. Good Luck!

I heard about CU last week sometime.. I sent in my app their super early. You got a bunch of waitlists too eh? This process is starting to wear me down big time...but it seems like it will be awhile before it ends.

us. for sure. Yeah I am going to do my best to get off the waitlist at American and W&L. I am going to visit both schools in a few weeks.... then write the most compelling letters I can come up with... ek.

Yeah I have some family in the area so I think they will end up driving me around :). I also didnt realize there was a why american essay... but after I go look at the school I will write the best essay I can ... I also put that I would be willing to do part time to get off the waitlist even though I applied full time ... so maybe that will help me out... who knows.

Honestly, I couldnt really say when it changed. But I think the answer is it did not change in advance. I checked as recently as 3:00pm and NO CHANGE, but when I got the email at around 4:00pm I went back and it said congratualtions

Congrats on Kent- May I ask how you were notified? I was also deferred in December and Kent is my top choice. Did you submit any additional information or letters of continued interest? thanks!

Blah! I hope we get in!! Not sure if I will hang out on the CU waitlist... I am currently at school in colorado... and I love it... There are few places like it but it is time for something new I think. I miss the ocean!

Hey, sorry I haven't been on this site in a lonnggg time but I will tell you that my LSAT is a bit higher than yours. You know its tough to predict people's chances with numbers like ours which is why I applied to as many schools as possible...hope that helps

I want this cycle to be over already.... but considering my top to choices right now are waitlist we will see. how about you? are you any closer to figuring things out?

I would give you my gw acceptance if i could (yes I got accepted there and didnt list it to avoid getting shit from fellow lsn users)... My top choices are w&l and wake forest. I fell in love with both of them the other week when i went to visit/interview. I dont think gw is the school for me.

haha I will! Well I am kind of a small town girl so i really liked that aspect of it.... It would be a different kind of law school expereince. it also did kind of feel like a young persons school... they have some intramural sports with drinking on fridays... and most of the students seemed young... which I liked. the honor system is great... you can even write an i owe you for food and pay later. everyone having there own carrel seems like a good thing on paper (and it is to an extent) but they are all jammed together so i am not sure if i would ever really be able to study there. But, like I said, it is my first choice and would definatley go if accepted. It just seemed to fit me and my personally really well. I also love that every year of law school has its own purpose.... the 3rd year experience seems like a great idea.

Not sure about ST Johns, but its pretty close to me so I may visit. But Im definitely going to the AU day on April 1st. I visited back in February, but Id like to see what the ASD is like too. AU is pretty high on my list, but its so big Im a little uneasy about the potential lack of face-time and personal touch with professors.

I am praying we both get in. You will love, it is AMAZING and pretty much unmatched in everyway.

AH!!! CRAP. We clearly have issues. I think you do have a good chance at getting off at least one of those waitlists. Better than me I guess, I got the good old reject from W&M but I wasnt upset at all.... didnt get a great vibe when I visited.... great school though.... we are on the home stretch

Good offer from Kent! Have you figured it out yet? any waitlist news! none for me (other than getting kicked off wake forest waitlist... meh).

I put down deposits at Utah and Maine... althouh I am going to withdraw from Maine soon. I did respond to the w&l email.... it seemed like a somewhat hopeful email.... but it is so hard to tell how many people are a. actively on the waitlist, and b. how many of those people would really go if accepted.... so i am just trying to hang in there... but not get my hopes up... Also - I think American is the right call...

gosh I hope so!! It has been a long 6-7 months on this W&L waitlist. blah. I am getting to the point where I just need to know and move on..... but then I hear all these stories about people getting of the WL at the last minute.... which makes it hard to completely lose hope. blah.

yeah, that must be hard!! :(. But Minnesota seems like a really great place! I have a feeling you will really like it!! How long do you have to let GW know? Do you think if you let them know your situation they would be willing to give you some money? GW/DC is an awesome place but I think you can get a similar education at Minn.

hmmm. yeah. No, I do think I would like Utah... it is just so far away from where I think I want to end up. On the other hand I do have friends in Utah, have spent a fair amount of time in utah, and can see myself there.... so I am not sure if I am just being picky or worrying too much... meh. I wish w&l would just tell me I have no shot so I could mentally move on.... its like one of those bad open relationships where the girl just hung up and cannot let it go even though the guy is being a total dick.... and I am that lame girl holding on.... lol :)

Yeah... I have been all over lsn and tls lately... but what can I say... your the only person that I dont know but I feel like I kinda know that I care about where they go to law school (that def doesnt make sense) And yes, I may or may not have experience being 'that pathetic girl' in my only real 'adult' relationship.... wow I sound really pathetic.... yikes. I have to work on that.
