I know it's a great school and all, but if you go to Michigan it could be curtains for our friendship.

thanks

Thanks for the encouragement, numbers twin. I would wish you good luck but you don't seem to need my help. :) Congrats on all of those lovely acceptances. I'm still waiting for one. Do you have a first choice or any inkling of where you'd like to be?

I agree!

San Francisco IS the best. However, my fingers are crossed for Berkeley. Hastings is a lovely choice to have, but I would go to Boalt in an instant. What about you?

does that mean...

...that you're either going to Georgetown PT or GW?

No night life
Friday, September 09 2005 at 08:00 PM

Yeah, exactly. We should just hope that we could be so lucky as to sit in Berkeley and have no night life together. :) Your chances look good, seeing as to how you've been accepted everywhere else. My chances are more uncertain. :(

congrats

On everything so far. I'm also dreaming of Berkeley. And don't go thinking there is no night life...Almost everyone I know that is already in law school is having a surprising amount of fun. Good luck!

Sorry about Michigan. It's just more evidence that they suck...a lot.

Michigan

How did you hear the lame news from Michigan? Thin letter? I'm sorry that they didn't have the good sense to take you. I hate this mailbox drama. It's driving me batty. ;)

congrats!

Congrats on GW! Woohoo!

GW FT vs. GULC PT

Katy, I may be in exact same situation you are...Which way are you leaning? It's the Sophie's Choice of DC 0Ls.

Vandy

Unless I have a UVA or NW miracle, I'm 99.9% Vandy. Where are you leaning?

I should add that if GW ponied up some serious cash, that would complicate things. But that seems highly unlikely. By the way, I had dinner with Ellie and Steiner last night, good times.

Sorry about Boalt. Since we're number twins, this probably isn't a good sign for me either. Awesome about Georgetown though. I think they let you transfer to full time after the first year, if I'm not mistaken. Definitely a great opportunity.

Boalt
Friday, September 09 2005 at 08:00 PM

I'm so sorry about Boalt! There goes our non-existant night life in NorCal. I still haven't heard anything from them, but I'm way to scared to call. :( At least you still have a bunch of great schools to choose from. I'm sure you will do great at any one of them!

See, here's the thing - GULC claims that nowhere on your transcript will it say that you're PT, but when employers see that you haven't taken all the normal 1L classes, they'll know. And if you aren't working while enrolled in the PT program, they may wonder what you've been doing with your time. But then again, it is Georgetown.

gulc pt vs. others ft
Tuesday, December 14 2004 at 07:00 PM

i'm in a very similar situation, with admission to gulc pt but ft at others. i'd prefer to do ft, but gtown is definitely hard to pass up. how are you weighing this decision? any insight you could share would be greatly appreciated. thanks and congrats on the acceptances! you've got some great choices, and maybe i'll see you in dc. :-)

leaning toward gtown
Tuesday, December 14 2004 at 07:00 PM

right now i'm leaning toward gtown. it will mostly be dependent on how the preview events go in these next two weeks. i'm going to seek clarification on transferring from pt to ft after a year. the gulc website is kind of vague on the subject, and i probably won't go there if i can't be relatively certain that i will be able to transfer to ft.

why is a title required?

Screw Penn.
