congrats on getting accepted uh...everywhere??? maaaaaaan...so jealous =P very nice though...out of the three that you listed (GULC/Duke/WFU), i'd choose Duke over Gtown (just heard that Gtown's crazy competitive but if you're into that stuff, go for it) and pending on how much a full tuition means to you, figure out where WFU stands. though personally...i think WF can rot in hell...blah! good luck with the rest

hmm...

Go to Duke!

My boss went there. Said it wasn't as insanely competitive as some others. Great school!

Gtown

Avoid Georgetown. That is my advice having spent a summer there.

Gtown

Let me be fair. I have a bias against Gtown students in general. I think that they are arrogant pricks. And trust me, as an arrogant prick myself, this is saying something. That being said, the facilities are nice but located in a less than desirable area of DC, socially speaking. It is within walking distance of Union Station and the Capitol, but not necessarily safe at night. I was at GULC this summer for a paralegal program and know a couple of girls who finished their first year. Granted, Gtown opens doors if you want to be in DC. Otberwise, I would not even begin to consider spending three years there.

I think I would go to Richmond over Wash U. Location is important to me. While I have heard and seen only the best things about St. Louis, I want to stay in the Commonwealth of Virginia. And if you get into UVa, go there. I knew a number of law students there and they had the best time. If you go I hope you like softball. If not, you will learn.

Hey did you get a letter from Maryland about interviewing for a Leadership Scholarship? You have good numbers so I just wanted to see who else heard from them.

I am taking your suggestion and going out to St. Louis to look in a week or so. And it looks like not having receieved a response so far from UVa is a good thing (for you).

I just got back from St. Louis and loved the school. The facilities are unbelievable and the people are really nice, though they are not the most attractive bunch I have ever seen. Where are you leaning at the moment?

lol
Tuesday, July 12 2005 at 08:00 PM

im going to ignore the comment about attractive or not. :D you know what i realized during this entire app process? ive met a handful of ppl who are also trying to decide between schools, and i think they will be long-term connections. its pretty cool. and since everyone is going diff places, we have connections throughout america. hah!

thanks!

gluck wherever you end up! you have some awesome options! i would much rather be out in Cali than on the East Coast.

thanks

Thanks for the kind words and the initial suggestion to visit. I spent my high school years in New Hampshire, and would not wish that cold on anyone. Enjoy the weather in Cali. So jealous (of the weather not the living in the state). Duke is a bunch of commies anyway. Just kidding. But the people are ugly there too. Cali will be much better in that department. You are right, it will be fun to meet a few of the people who post on this site.
