On George Mason. Seemed to be turned around quickly. I am crossing my fingers now! Good luck with the rest of your apps.

thanks man...looks like you slacked off just as much as me at uva...i too was an econ major. just goes to show that goofing off does pay sometimes...though i'd clearly have a better chance if i studied. don't matter though...college was fun for me! good luck on the rest of your apps

W&L vs. GMU
Saturday, September 03 2005 at 08:00 PM

I'm a big fan of geography. W&L appears to be tucked away in rural Virginia. GMU is in my town, Arlington. Arlington is the first suburb outside of DC. Going to GMU, you'll have access to the resources of a city. Then again, you'll have access to the distractions of a ctiy. GMU's stock has aparently risen quite a lot in the past couple years, and some feel they're over-inflated. But, being just outside of a major city, and the center of law in America nonetheless, is a huge advantage.

Left an answer to your ? on my page. Congratulations on your acceptances and good luck the rest of the way. UVA and W&L have an especially good relationship, so here's hopin W&L gives you the green light.

I've checked the status checker but it still says "Not Yet". I don't think they know what to do with us splitters.

Wash U Visit

Awesome that you are going to visit. I recently visited Duke and GULC and it really does make the decision much more personal and the schools feel more tangible. Let me know what you think of Wash U!

Similar splits

I have been watching you quite closely, since you and I have such similar numbers, yours are just a bit better. Oh, and us conservatives arent fascists.... but its better than being a weepy left winger. Congrats on all your acceptances.

late apps

I am starting to consider how important quality of education is to me vs. location of future job. I really loved Cardozo when I visited and I am heavily considering it now. I am pretty sure it's a "no" for George Mason though. I was underwhelmed by the school.

yay!

Congrats on deciding on Wash U! Looks like we'll be classmates next year! Are you gonna attend the housing day in June??

GMU

Thanks for your post. I went up there the other day....it was interesting. I also stopped by American, which was really different. Anyhow, thanks for your comment. Good luck next year!

RE: Choosing...

It's really close right now - down to WUSTL and Tulane (GWU and Emory would be in the mix if I got into either one). Cograts on you great acceptances! What made you choose WUSTL, if you don't mind my asking?

Congrats

Congrats to you as well. Yes, I think I will be going to the first housing day in June. Yourself?

Why else would you go?

Friday, September 09 2005 at 08:00 PM

hey, i still can't decide where the hell i want to go. after applying to all those schools...i have like another pool of money devoted to deposits and crap. soooo hard to decide. i find it interesting that you were so intent on going to WUSTL and suddenly changed it to richmond. go spiders!
