Extra Curricular Information

An update. My cycle is over. If you can count 4 waitlists as over.

1 Yr FT work experience at Civil Lit. Law Firm
1 Yr Abroad France
1 Yr Courthouse Internship
3 Yrs in UG working 30 hours/wk as Security Supervisor, UCPD
Some other club crap. I suppose these are the biggies.

I think I got pretty lucky this cycle with my numbers and soft factors. Disagree? Leave a comment! Agree? Leave a comment! I'm a comment loving rankings obsessed whore. Feel free to judge.

My advice for future applicants:

The LSAT is like really important and stuff.
Apply to lots of schools, it'll make those 9 months of hell more interesting.

Never thought of that one. Some good acceptances so far, and good luck with the rest.

Saw you have the same GW index as me- here's hopin we aren't next in the WL line :-/

Yeah the indexes of some of the WL people is making me nervous. GW is by far my #1 school that isn't a complete reach (ie Penn, Gtown)- what about you? You've covered quite a geographic range w/ your apps!

hey

sorry about the rejection at G-town. you are better off not going there though. GW and G-Town do recruiting events at the local firms and they are the hardest people in the world to talk to. so socially akward. anyway, i just wanted to wich you luck... you should be hearing from GW soon and if you decide to leave CA, you would love the education here. The least competetive place imaginable. Plus, according to the dean "we have embraced grade inflation." anyway, good luck

Ahoy hoy!

I'm assuming you majored in Crustacean Sciences as well, right? Good luck with your UCLA waitlist (I cant believe they havent started rejecting people yet...)

AZ

I'm definitely thinking about AZ. No tuition, Tucson's cheap, best law school in a fast growing state...it's got a lot going for it. I ought to set foot in the building once before I decide, though. How about you?

congrats!

i guess it's lame to write on my own wall but this is in response to pugattack. I'm leaning towards U of TX now because I'm a little bit of a prestige whore I've decided. I'm going to check out TX and AZ in a week and hopefully hear from USC so I can make a decision!

thanks

Yeah, I probably wouldve done better had my lsat score not sucked. I'm dying to hear from UCLA/USC. I'm kind of surprised I havent been put on UCLA's mass waitlist yet, but I could definitely do some USC. Have you narrowed down your options yet?

USC

What's taking USC so long! i hope they get back to you soon although i suppose i lose my leverage for our trade if you get the good word!
