02/23 - Got a voicemail message from BU welcoming me into the Class of 2010. Yay! I'm relieved my first response was an acceptance. I wouldnt say BU is a frontrunner or anything, but now at least I know I'll be going to law school in the fall.

2/23 - Same day I get the Decision update on the Michigan Status Checker. Ugh. I dont want to get dinged.

2/27 - Shit. Went to Decision at GULC. Probably isnt good news. I kind of liked not knowing if I was going to be accepted or rejected, you know, simply for the daydreaming. Hello, harsh reality. Still waiting for my mailed decision from Mich (I have a feeling it's in my mailbox right now, laughing at me from within that oh-so-thin envelope)...

3/01 - I've been officially "not offered admission" to Michigan. Feh... that's okay.

3/02 - Got my packet from BU today. Nice little note on the acceptance letter referencing my archaeology background. That was pretty sweet. Oh yeah, even better! Got rejected from Stanford too! Yes! So much for my "super-reaches are attracted by my pheromones" idea.

3/03 - Guh. Rejection from Georgetown. I dont like this stringing of rejections together. Where are you Hastings? Boost me up a little.

3/05 - My status changed to Decision at UV today, and looking at recent decisions it seems like I may have gotten myself waitlisted. Not bad! We'll see...

3/07 - As predicted, I'm waitlisted for Virginia. Also got the thin letter from Berkeley, completely devastated. Yeah, I know I didnt have a shot anyway, but damn, I really wanted to stay here. Pain.

3/09 - Waitlisted at GW? WTF? Am I cursed? Sweet Jesus somebody else let me in, I dont want to go all the way to Boston.

3/15 - Status Checker at Hastings reads Decision Admitted. Pretty cool, I guess... Still dying to hear from UCLA/USC.

3/17 - Received official acceptance letter from Hastings, complete with $7500 scholarship (per year, renewable, need-based). Letter also says first deposit of $150 due April 1st. Uhh...

4/06 - Email from UT with waitlist. Feh.

4/15 - Finally got my waitlist from UCLA and I'm feeling good about it. Just glad it wasn't a rejection.

4/21 - Well, shitballs. Finally got a response from USC and it wasn't what I wanted. Dingarino. I guess this means my cycle is over? However, I have no intentions of giving up on my handful of waitlists. We'll see I suppose. In the meantime, I will reluctantly admit to myself that I'm probably headed off to BU in August. Things could be worse though, at least I'm not forced into going to Hastings. All is good.

6/21 - Update time... Well, of my four waitlists, I've heard from two that they dont anticipate accepting many from the waitlist (GW and UT), I havent heard from Virginia (not surprising since I'm pretty low on the totem pole there), and I'm still trying to kiss as much UCLA ass as possible. Apparently word is that there may be some list movement in the beginning of July. So I'm excited to see how that pans out. Otherwise, I've been getting more and more excited about moving to Boston and finally attending law school. This is going to be sweet.
