So yeah think i'm going GW over Vandy..I know Vandy and smaller but good lord, Nashville, no thank you

Uh vandy or bc?? from a NYer???

Leaning towards Vandy...will visit BC this weekend, Vandy 6/4-6/5 and hopefully make a decision. Withdrew from WashU and UT...hanging on for the others

"Shortened Summer Waitlist" at NU...i'm pretty sure this process will never end

And I just got into NU....after sending GW $1K, awsome...love the timing, but still good news

Basically, kids, I got lucky. I was hoping this would happen when I applied to a bunch of schools that had higher lsats, and I was very persistent with my letter writing campaign. The waitlists can be golden - I got off 3!

I am so jealous of your BC acceptance. How long did it take for their response? PS- Congrats :)

When did you go complete at Penn? I have the same LSAT and didn't know there was actually a chance, even waitlist. So I'd love to know how long it took you to hear back. Thanks.

vandy decision
Thursday, February 08 2007 at 07:00 PM

yeah, i'm really torn as well. i am actually a big fan of the south (i love warm weather), but finances make this decision tough, since w&m will be about half the price. since i don't have time to visit this week because of work, i'll probably be putting in the deposit and then visiting later this summer to make a final decision.

I visited about a month and a half ago. I didn't get to see much of the city, but the campus was gorgeous, and the law school building itself is quite nice. Question -- they said they'd send me a PDF of my admissions letter, but I haven't gotten it yet. Did they send yours right away?

Choose Vandy, I'm going there and I'm from just outside NYC and planning to move back. To be fair... BC rejected me but I think its because I showed zero interest in them. If you havent visited yet, do so. Its GORGEOUS. I hope you go!

Vandy over GW
Thursday, November 02 2006 at 07:00 PM

Vandy has always been my first choice. I just reallllllly liked the atmosphere and the area. I chose Vandy over GW because of its significantly smaller class size as compared to the firms that attend OCI, plus Vandy places better in the ny/ct area. Also, my boyfriend was accepted into Vandy Med, so not having to do long distance again helped with the decision. Nashville will also be significantly cheaper than DC, and I like seeing trees. Vandy is an arboretum, which provides many green places for picnics and running and such. I also intend to do corporate law, and Vandy's Law and Business program allows me to graduate with a business certificate, which is nice while probably unnecessary. Vandy in Venice sounds amazing as well. I think Vandy was just overall the best place for me, I'm glad it worked out and I got in!! I withdrew from Penn because the chances of my getting in are slim to none and I'm happy with my decision to go to Vandy. Good Luck with your decisions! I hope you choose Vandy!!

How'd you do it?
Wednesday, June 20 2007 at 08:00 PM

My numbers are pretty similar to mine, and it looks as if Vanderbilt will be my top choice for where I am applying this year. LSN shows that people with these stats generally don't get in, so I was wondering if you did anything specific to help yourself out? Thanks a lot for the help!

tips?
Thursday, October 25 2007 at 08:00 PM

I'm going to be going about the same strategy. Applying out of my range and praying :D. Any tips? When you say writing campaign do you mean only your waitlisted schools?
