I will do almost anything to increase my score because I know I can do alot better. The funny thing is I got 17 of the games correct in the games section and bombed the other 3 sections. I did contact testmasters and I'm waiting to get some info from them. Someone else had mentioned thebooks you are suggesting and I'm definitely going to purchase both. Though, I would hope that the approach or method in the books would be inline or similar to that of testamsater's teaching method. Thank you for the information

Also, I met the Dir of Admin for a school in NY state and she's encouraging me to apply but, there is no way I can with my score. I guess she's a fan of my undergrad school and also I told her a little about my situation. Even if she is willing to accept me I'm not gonna go in with confident I need to have.

How much did the weekend PowerScore course helped you and how much did your score increased?

i think that if you are going to use the powerscore books, then you should take the powerscore course. i spent a lot of time on those books but the testmasters class was a little different. if i had it to do it all over again, i would have taken the weekend powerscore course and spent about 4 months doing nothing but timed tests. the 'time' killed me. maybe you can learn from my mistake. i spent the last several weeks doing nothing but rc. i got one of my best scores ever on rc but i tanked the other sections. i think that if i had been doing more timed tests my score would have been higher. testmasters gives you books with all the questions in neat groups. i did most of the homework but i just think i would have been better served doing more tests under timed conditions. wishing you all the luck in the world.

Study Techniques

I retook the LSAT in June and scored a 158. I studied for 6 months by taking full length exams every weekend, sometime twice per weekend. The best approach for me was getting comfortable with concentrating for almost 4 hours intensely and learning to time myself. Then during the week I would go through all of the questions I did incorrectly. (I work full time, so it was a tight schedule). It you put your mind to it and committ yourself to doing better you will. Buy a bunch of the LSAC practice LSATS and buckle down.

Conditional admissions

Just want to thank everyone for their suggestions and comments, all are well taken. I will be retaking in June. However, I am considering just retaking the lsat course (for free that is) and taking as many as possible old LSATs . Also, a school in Florida sent me an invitate to take 2 law school classes which costs $3000 and based on my final gpa (c or better) I will be granted admission to the 2006 entering class. I am considering it but not sure this is the road I want to take. The school is also a 4th tier school. Any suggestions?

I got 137 this Feb LSAT. I am considering whether I apply law school or retake June LSAT. Good luck to us.

Hi Maia, I seem to have an e-mail from every school notifying me of the completion of my application /except/ for Georgetown. From the looks of the other schools, it was most likely completed between 1/12 and 1/15. Sorry about that. But thank you!
