Everything came via snail, the only e-maail I got was from Rutgers informing me I was deferred. BiG Congrats on the handful of acceptances!! Your gotta be swimmin in dopamine right now!
NO! Apparently, there was a section on the application that required an additional essay in order to be considered for any merit scholarships. I didn't write one, and subsequently received no $$. *I called the admissions office to receive that bit of info
i got offered the money in the acceptance packet-- it wasn't on the acceptance letter, there was another letter from financial aid i think. but it was also for money that i applied for-- in the application i did an extra two essays for the scholarship provided by alumni. hope that helps!
omg, no more essays please! is all i could think when pumping out my 15 apps. If i'm not mistaking, even if we got 30k from Syracuse, we'd still end up w a smaller bill with Hofstra, or NY for you, considering their lower tuition + slightly warmer weather ;)
I saw you had asked if some schools email you a decision before getting it via snail mail. I recieved my acceptance to UB via email and have yet to recieve it in the snail mail...so keep your eyes open for an email from them.
I'm scheduled to visit on March 22nd during an open house day. Their scheduling a mock class and a campus tour that day, so I should get a good feel for things, you should come!
