No, they didn't send any such email. However I called them and they said that it has been received and that there are no updates as of yet. Why? Did you get such an email? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how confident are you about your personal statement? Also, did you include letters of recommendation (as they are optional)?

They notified me through an email said I was accepted and would be receiving a letter shortly in the mail. Good luck with your apps, maybe I'll see you at UMKC next year - where does it rank on your list?
