Please, and I repeat please, Be "accurate" on your applications, ask for help from your parents, neighbors, and buisness associates. Be "positive", and the Holy Spirit will guide you to your place of calling. These applications are tough, but you do not always "know" what is the best school for "you". Shoot high, "Schools" do look at "things" other than "your" LSAT.

What no word usually means?

I applied to all of my school back in November. Is it usually good or bad to not have heard back by now?

Creighton and St Louis

I think that it's sort of a crap shoot this year. Numbers are down and schools don't know what to make of it. If you weren't a n auto reject then schools are hanging on to your application until they know more. I think you have a better shot at Creighton than St Louis. You probably have reasonable shots at Thomas Jefferson and St Thomas too...

I sent my stuff in November and got my responses in Jan. Creighton was October and a response in December. HTH

hearing back

If you have heard nothing from them at all, I'd call. Creighton sent me a letter about 2 weeks after LSDAS sent them my report to tell me that all print and electronic info was rec'd and I was complete. It then told me I was going to the adcomm, and to call if I had questions. If you didn't get even that, I'd give em a jingle. Fingers are crossed for you, Creighton is a great school, and Omaha is a super super place to live!

Thanks alot for keeping your fingers crossed for me. I did recieve the confirmation letter back in Novembe. I also emailed Creightong letting them know they are my first choice. They replied immediatley and stated they would add it to my file. I just wish I had done better on the LSAT, and didnt mess around my first 2 years in college. However, in 2 years I did get nearly a 4.0, and graduated cum laude. Oh well, all I can do now is pray.

took this long to defer you? Yeesh. I hope you're going to do the whole sending in supplemental materials! Good luck!

The letter stated: "The Admissions Committe has reviewed your application for admission to the College of Law and has initially decided to place you application in the pending file. Having your application placed in the pending file means that the Committee has decided to defer a final decision on you application until it has had an opportunity to review other applications submitted by the March 1 deadline."

Creighton said that, "at this point, the Committee is unable to admit you." Then it went on to say, "It also means the Committee sees strength in you application, and for that reason is unwilling to dismiss you as a candidate for law school." I think I was deferred because I applied so early and because I have a lower LSAT but a stron GPA.

Good Luck..

Hi! I just got wait listed a Thomas Jefferson as well. I'm about to send them a "Letter of Continued Interest"...The problem is, I can't find my Wait List letter! =/ (I know, pretty bad). Who signed your wait list letter. Was it Beth Kransberger (?). I want to make sure I address my letter to the correct person. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Good luck with all your app.'s. Maybe I'll see you at TJ! =)

This "process was very difficult for "me". If you need "help", I would gladly give "you" the "right" advice. Do not listen to anyone, only "you" can do what is "justified".
