Pretty much exact same numbers, but you got accepted to GM. Grats!

Thanks!

I heard from W&L by e-mail with a formal letter following and got a small scholarship offer the next day. Good luck to you.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it down to the ASW unfortunately, because I'm all the way in Boston and I don't know that I have the extra $$$ for traveling right now. I wish I did though.

thanks!!

Emory is probably my first choice at the moment and I am sooo excited to have gotten in!!!! I am still considering W&M as I love Williamsburg and have many ties to the area. I'll be withdrawing from W&L very soon, however. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!!

I don't think I'll do the gradplex. It's nice but I think for the first time I want my own space while I adjust to law school. Was withdrawing from Fordham as hard for you as it was for me?

There is a ton of great housing options instead of the gradplex. If you need any help or suggestions let me know.

Spotswood Commons and Montecello Apartments are both nice.

I actually withdrew from WM a few weeks ago. Though it is a good school and the money was enticing, it's hard to turn down a top 20 school like GW. But I am having a hard time deciding between BU and GW. Best of luck to you.

Congrats on W&M! I've been using the Student Information Network that they have to look for housing stuff - it's pretty helpful, and they update it a lot. I haven't found a place yet though. Hope that helps.

Hey there- BU waitlisted me sometime in mid-March- it's hard to remember exactly when, considering I was waitlisted 12 times :)

Persistence. I emailed them asking politely if there were additional funds available after first seat deposits.

I'm really not sure where I want to go right now. Before getting accepted at BU I was pretty set on Hastings and Davis because I would ideally like to practice in Cali. However, I am much more excited about BU because of its great placement in law firms, its amazing faculty and its prestige. Also, I just got accepted at W&L, and I need to decide by next Friday, which doesn't give me time to visit it. I'm so confused!! My preference right now is probably BU, W&L, Davis and then Hastings. I'm still hoping to hear from Notre Dame and UIUC though.

what about you, I see that you're set to go to W&M- will you go to BU if you get in, and what are your thoughts on W&L vs. BU, if you don't mind my asking.

hi
Sunday, November 25 2007 at 07:00 PM

I sent letters to W&L and BU explaining my interest in those two schools. Otherwise, I did not send any new info as far as data is concerned. I hope that helps you some.

No, I haven't had a chance to visit either W&L or BU yet. I really need to do that, but I have to tell W&L whether I'll be attending in a week, so I need to figure out if I'm serious enough about them to warrant visiting.

it\'d be emory, wustl, bc/bu, w&m (in that order). how about you?

W&M
Wednesday, September 26 2007 at 08:00 PM

I have no clue where i want to go now! W&M is looking pretty good with that scholarship and the already relatively low tuition. Also, UIUC told me a couple spots will be opening up in the next day or so and that they\'ll be thinking about me, so I\'m really excited!

Hmm..

Haha thanks for the congrats on my waitlist-accepts! I haven\'t been hounding the schools or anything, but whenever they send an e-mail saying they\'ll be accepting people off the waitlist, I write back and tell them I\'m interested. I\'ve also just recently updated schools by telling them about my acceptance to BU and pending deposit that\'s due, and asked them to get me off the waitlist before June 1 if possible. I guess with 12 waitlists, there\'s bound to be some movement! With W&M I told them I was strongly considering W&L but was more into W&M\'s location, and atmosphere. YaaayY!!

No, I haven\'t had a chance to visit W&M. In fact, if I visited all the schools I was considering right now, I would be more broke than I already am haha. I should really visit Davis, Hastings, BU, W&L and W&M, but I just don\'t have time at this point, considering deposits are due in a week for all of them.

I\'m not sure yet. I\'m married so that rules out most of the student housing...especially since we have little dog. I\'m looking into some complexes that are relatively close to campus and have been surprised by their affordability. Just google Williamsburg with apartments for rent and you\'ll find all kinds of options. Also, I know most property managers value law students as tenants which will give you a leg up on getting into a house if that is what you want... Congrats to you too, and I\'ll see you there.

i sent you a pm about the emory WL rank. let me know where you are too. i would like bu/bc too but its so damn cold there.

Sunday, December 02 2007 at 07:00 PM

I just sent in one letter of interest and they called me. I\'m def thinking that they are my first choice right now and I will be BU\'ing it unless something changes suddenly. Good luck to you, I hope you make it in. Even though WM is a great place to be also? Is BU a first choice of yours?

BU

I visited and felt that Tulane was better for me. I didn\'t like the tower set-up too much, the school seemed a bit outdated, the neighborhood i liked was pretty much out of my price range, and the area was just too busy for me. BU offered good career prospects in the NE, but Tulane is a better fit for me. As in, I think I will be a far more successful student at Tulane than at BU. My advice, visit the school before you make a decision. I\'m certainly glad I did.

Hey!

Thanks; I\'m really excited! Yea, I\'m considering UIUC because I grew up in Chicago and have a sister doing undergrad there right now. I don\'t know, it\'s a hard choice. My LOCI\'s have actually been really generic except for one I wrote UIUC last week, where I explained my personal reasons for wanting to attend UIUC. I don\'t know though- Boston has more of a national reputation than UIUC, don\'t you think? It\'s a hard choice.

I stayed in pretty close contact with them. Made a visit, sent a couple extra letters, and called to check in maybe 2 or 3 times. Good luck!

I withdrew in April after being WL\'d, but they called me for interest a while later anyway... so I have no idea what my WL position was.
