Additional info & updates

- Applied Early Action to Georgetown, online status check says that the decision has been sent, still waiting on it
- Applied for a joint degree (JD/MPP) from GT and Duke

12/30 - Got my letter from Gtown finally - got deferred. I suppose it could have been worse - I saw that it was in a white envelope and just assumed I was doomed.

2/15 - Received an e-mail from Duke telling me that I've been waitlisted. Well crap.

2/23 - I'm going to law school! Got a large thick envelope from U of Illinois with a letter of acceptance and an info book. Letter is dated 2/16/07.

2/24 - Received a small standard size envelope from Notre Dame informing me that they've put me on their "provisional list." Crap again.

2/26 - GULC status tracker went to decision again after the deferral.

3/2 - Admitted to Georgetown's MPP program via email. I applied for the JD/MPP program, so I'm halfway there. Now I just need to pray extra hard that I get into the JD program.

3/3 - Son of a bitch...reject from GULC sent to my home address. Dammit.

3/5 - UVa online status check went to decision. Here comes another rejection.

3/8 - Somewhat surprised to find a cream colored letter from UVa in my mailbox that did not read rejection. They've added me to their non-resident waitlist.

3/10 - Received a really nice binder with info from U of I.

3/16 - Letter from GW telling me I'm on their waitlist. I hate being a splitter.

3/28 - Decided today to withdraw from GW and ND. I really don't think I'd attend either of them over Illinois, not for the money difference anyway. Staying on at Duke and UVa though.

4/17 - A 5th waitlist for me this cycle, this one from UCLA in a small snail mail envelope addressed 4/12. I'll stay on it for now, but I'm not too happy about it. I expected it, but I had really hoped otherwise.

I don't know - I didn't think too hard about the ranking. If I got into Chicago, I'd probably choose there first, especialyl considering I'm originally from Chicago and lived there for 18 years of my life.

Good luck on your cycle, seems like there are more than a few Pi Kapps floating around.

I guess that you want to get into a better school but is there anything wrong with Arizona law that kept you from applying?

Congrats
