Congrats on Western State. They called me the other day too!
They e-mailed me. Is that one of your top choices?
Other than Northwestern I don't really have a top choice. I think each school meets my needs pretty well. I'd like to get into Chicago-Kent (more realistic top choice) but I'd be happy at DePaul if I didn't get in anywhere else.
Why do you want to move from Chicago to Southern California?
I got an email from Chapman saying that I was waitlisted.
That's cool. My girlfriend lives in the OC, but she is looking to move with me if I go to one of the Chicago schools. I hear good news about DePaul and Kent from a lot of people, so I am hoping it works out for me. For the money, if you get into Loyola or San Diego, you should definitely go there. Do you know what type of law you want to get into?
Thank you. I hope I love Chicago, I've been hearing rave reviews. I guess we shall see in 2 weeks when I visit. I do have one question: do you have any suggestions on where to find nice apartments for under $1200. I like the Algonquin in Hyde Park, but I'd like to explore other options. I am hoping to get into sports law. There is an entertainment law career day at southwestern, I'll let you know how that goes.
Best of luck with the rest of your cycle? Are you seriously considering Southwestern?
if u had to pick right now what would it be?
Congrats on you acceptances. I beg you, if you do not plan on attending Thomas Jefferson, please withdraw. thank you.
thank you for that. are you or did you write a Letter of Continued interest to Chapman? also, did Chapman send you an email or snail mail saying you are on the waitlist or did you check everyday, or so, the Status Checker?. thanks again.
Yup. I'm doing SCALE. I might defer a year to start MBA at Drucker though.
I recommend you look for a place in Silverlake. You don't need a car. Public transportation is really convenient around SW. Email me if you want more detailed information.
Did you fill out a financial aid app at southwestern? I didn't receive any scholarship info with my packet, but am wondering if there is still a possibility, or if they are just "awarding" loans at this point. Congrats on SCALE; I'll maybe see you there (but fingers crossed for loyola/USD!) I noticed Silverlake was recommended for housing- I'll be looking there as well as Los Feliz (similar neighborhoods, both nearby, relatively affordable).
Good luck with your Dec LSAT and applications!
