good luck to you as well...I want to attend Marquette and Florida Coastal for sports law, and Ole Miss for the cheap in state tuition, however, Ole Miss and Marquette are long shots for me with the low LSAT score...I guess we'll see what happens

These are all the ways you can get a fee waiver for Barry.. As far as Nova, I'm not so sure my application is waived yet, I thought it was but it shows an outstanding balance, so I e-mailed them. LSAT Fee Waiver Those applicants who received a fee waiver for the LSAT will automatically be granted a fee waiver from Barry Law. Please provide documentation of this fee waiver from the Law School Admissions Council along with your other application materials. Pell Grant Recipients If you will graduate from college during the 2006-2007 academic year and you received a Pell Grant, just provide a copy of your college financial aid award letter. Barry Law will automatically waive your application fee. Other Financial Need If your financial circumstances are dire to the point that you need financial assistance for your application fee of $50, please provide a one-page addendum stating the situation at hand. Please include any additional documents that support your position (for example: tax records). Barry Law will consider your request. If we do not approve the request, we will let you know that your application fee is due prior to an admissions decision. Alumni Fee Waiver Barry University alumni of the law school, undergraduate, or other graduate program can sign the alumni waiver form on your behalf. This waiver will be approved regardless of your financial circumstances. This is a courtesy to Barry alumni on your behalf. View and print the alumni fee waiver form. Student Waiver If you will graduate from Barry University (undergraduate or other program) in the next year, Barry Law will waive your application fee.

after my report was requested, i heard back within 4 or 5 days offering an acceptance for the spring semester...congrats on your safety school!!!

I was shocked on how fast I heard back from Miami. I totally wasn't expecting to be accepted. Hopefully you will hear back from them soon. Good luck!!!

Did you get an e-mail from FL Coastal about your application being complete before your acceptance letter?

I heard by e-mail that I am in with a $7000 scholarship and that my letter is in the mail. Are the scholarships per year or by semster? I figure that it's per year. I'm so excited to have the first acceptance.

(Sorry to keep asking you application questions.) I was trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and apply to Stetson. What do you think the chances of getting in are with our scores and GPAs? I'm trying to decide if I would just be throwing away $50 or if it's a real possibility.

I was just looking at the Barry page and saw that you had been accepted. Congrats numbers twin!!

I don't know what's going on with my FSU app. I e-mailed them and haven't heard anything. I guess I may need to go ahead and call. It still says incomplete, but they have cashed the check (which was sent with my residency form and cert letter) and have my LORs, which were sent with my main report. My status has said incomplete since 12/04/08, but some of the stuff on the status is from a later date. If it doesn't change by early next week, then I will call them. I applied to FSU before I got my score back, and assume they will just send me a rejection letter. I do really hope we can get into Stetson though. I don't care about a scholarship there, just about getting in. It would be nice to have the option of going to a T-2 school.

I would have to say at this point Florida Coastal just because they have shown the most interest and they have raised my scholarship from 5 to 10 thousand a year. They seem very interested in the people they accept. I will wait for the cycle to end before making a decision.

Thanks for the info on Nova. YOu look like you are having a good cycle. I would not worry about lsat, 150 is within the average range. The lsat was the worst nightmare i ever endured. i studied so much, i cannot even look at another prep book or anything again!!!!

How long did it take for your Barry application to go from decision to you getting your acceptance letter?

I found out from FSU that mine is not complete because they need a record of a dismissed underage drinking charge from 2001, so I'm in the process of attaining it. I'm assuming rejection from FSU, but perhaps it is possible, especially since, like you're saying, they aren't auto-rejecting us 150ers.

I just got an e-mail that my Stetson application is finally complete and has been submitted for review. Is that what yours has been this whole time or are they now reviewing a lot of the applications?

I have sent everything FSU asked for so I should be complete now. Let's see what happens with the 150's there. =) Have you heard anything else from them or has it just said "complete" this whole time?

Yep. I just checked it and FSU says decision mailed. With my application to Campbell, they reviewed it, put it on hold, and are reviewing it again. I guess FSU knew pretty quickly what they wanted to do.

My letter came today too. I just moved, and changed my mailing address to my fiance's parent's house, so I haven't opened it yet. I figured it had to be a rejection letter. Oh well, we both have a few opyions to choose from. =) Do you know yet where you are going or one you're favoring? I'm pretty sure that I'm going to FL Coastal.

I just got my stetson rejection, which I was pretty much expecting...lol.

(in response to your last post on my wall:) Is Nova closer to Tallahassee? or do you not live in Tally anymore? I considered applying to Nova, but thought FL Coastal was the closest law program to Tally. It's too bad that there isn't another program very close to Tally besides FSU. However, I'm getting excited about FL Coastal. It's been my favorite for program for most of the cycle because they have an environmental law certificate and it looks like a really nice learning atmosphere. I paid my seat deposit yesterday, so it is starting to feel real. =)

Thanks! its not 100% yet....im sending my deposit to FAMU also. if they get full accreditation then i might go there...for financial reasons and my family is in orlando. We will see...good luck with FIU, i was extremely disappointed when i got rejected.

Why wait for FIU? Nova is a better school, and they place extremely well South Florida and own the Ft. Lauderdale market. UM dominates Miami and FIU barely has any alumni because their law program is only a couple of years old. If you want to practice in Northern Florida than go to Florida Coastal (congrats on the scholly). If you want to do South Florida do Nova. You won't regret it. Congrats on your acceptances!

UF was my first choice :(. I was also rejected but oh well. Now just waiting on a few more so I can decide where i'm headed in august!

Florida Coastal and Nova are good schools. You should stop the worrying and start preparing to go to school to one of those. Or you can retake the LSAT and apply to law school next year. Goodluck!
