Hi! Thanks for the congrats. I found out through their status checker. It said "Decision Made" and you have to go on the website and sign on to the Decision Manager. You should definetly apply to more schools! Your LSAT will really open doors. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for your good wishes. I am having an ok cycle, a lot of waiting though. I would like to tell you that i will be withdrawing from Nova on Monday, hopefully, this will help Nova hopefuls like yourself get in much quicker. Thanks for the comment. I know, this wait is awful! First my status said "incomplete" then "in review" now its "with committee" I dont know what it means but I'm hoping to hear from them any day now too. Good luck with your app. let me know when you find out!

I'm sure you'll be hearing something positive from them very soon. They'd be crazy not to accept you. What do you know about Nova? I went to visit St. Thomas last year, but I was dumb and didn't think to stop by Nova. What's your first choice?

Hello, on the 14th, FIU is holding a FALL 2009 ENTERING CLASS RECEPTION. The title makes it sound like the event is only for admitted students. If I were you, I would call them and ask if you are welcome to attend anyway. What do you have to lose? Also, if your file is complete, perhaps they will rush some decisions in before the event, for maximum attendance.

I am going to try to answer all of your questions. The open house went really well. The faculty and staff there are great and the campus/law building is equally impressive. We (open housees) went on a tour of the law center then had a sit-down chat with the Dean, Teacher of the year, Assistant Dean of Admissions, and Law panel (students). There were two part-time students on the panel and probably 10 out of 50 students in attendance were part-time. I was accepted to the full-time program, and I have worked all this year so I will not have to next year if that makes sense haha. I hope you hear soon. I know how bad the waiting game is. I still have not heard back from schools I applied to in December. Best of luck to you. Oh and I withdrawed from Nova. I will change it on my profile eventually. And on a good note, if people do not put there deposits donw within two weeks to Nova and FIU, their seats will be pulled... if that helps :)

They take so long because of people not withdrawing haha, basically I am on the waitlist without being told that I am. I do think people know that is the known etiquette, at least most people do. Thanks for the vibes, right back at ya.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that you can order a free DVD from Nova Law that gives you a tour of the campus, the law library, and lets you "sit-in" on actual law classes... I found the DVD very informative. The website to order the DVD is: http://nsulaw.nova.edu/dvd/order/index.cfm Also, you already applied, but I ordered the DVD first, and Nova Law waived their application fee just because I ordered the DVD.

I visited the campus last month and although it's a small and newly accredited school, I was impressed. If you do apply and get accepted to Barry, I hope to see you around! Thanks so much for the encouraging words.I have been using both PowerScore books for the past 2 months and they are helping me immensely in the Logic Reasoning section ;-).Congrats, on NOVA and I hope you get good news from FIU..either way there is a good chance we'll be at the same school next year. Hopefully you wont mind helping a 1L out ;-).

FIU called me, she said they normally dont call, but since they knew many schools have April 1 seat deposits they wanted me to make an informed decision. I thought that was very cool of them. Just waiting on FSU...thats the only school I would consider over FIU...Miami and Stetson are too expensive

I am a big fan of calling but I am not sure. I think it depends on how often/when the last time you called was. I think every two or three weeks shows that you really care, but it also does not come across as too annoying. I would think they would make a decision soon though. If you are applying PT your numbers should get you in... or I would think. I am sorry that you have to wait so long :(

Well, I was actually put on hold rather than waitlisted (LSN needs a hold option, haha). They sent me the letter via snail mail. I am actually not too disappointed considering my numbers are almost at their 25th percentile range, but I am definitely hoping they come back with an admit. Good luck to you in hearing from them!

I'm not sure why FIU had such a short period, right now I am petitioning them for an extension until May 1 as I am still waiting on Nova and some other financial stuff to come through. Hopefully they'll grant the extension...best wishes on your pending apps! :)

I am pretty sure I have already told several people this story, but I called FIU about a month after I sent in my application to ask current status. They told me the same "You will have a decision with in the next 6-8 weeks" that they told you. The good news is that I was accepted the following week. Keep your head up because I am sure you will be getting some good news in the mail very soon. Best of luck to you!

It sounds like most of the people accepted to FIU are asking for an extension on their deposit date. This might be the reason a decision has yet to be made on your file, because the extended deadline is April 15th. I hope it is a little helpful.

Wow Im happy for you lady, you truly deserve it. Hopefully Ill be there next year with you if I dont get into UM's full-time program. By the way I got approved for a 35% discount on Kaplan so I will take the May class and it ends just before my test in June. PS I did my undergrad @ FIU...beautiful campus...you're gonna love it.

Congrats on FIU!!! To top if off, I received an email from them stating that they received the highest bar passage rate in the state of FL!!! (81.5%). Stetson came next with 80% and surprisingly, U. of Miami, U. of Fl, and FSU had a 61-64% passage rate... go figure right? Anywho...I'm glad you got into the school that you wanted :-)

I know, I'm starting to get really frustrated!!!! I really, really want to go to FIU!!!! I think I'll hear either next week or the first week of May... I just hope I get accepted and they let me know before May 11th, because I really don't want to waste money on a deposit at Nova. You were complete almost a month before me, so if I get my decision in about the same amount of time that you did, I should receive it early May. Wish me luck!
