Additional info & updates

Hello everyone! I'm applying for this admissions cycle for fall 2011. My top choice is University of Baltimore. I'm taking the LSAT in december and hope for the best. I have been studying for the LSAT since 2008, took it last year, and got a low score of 145. Unfortunately my score hasn't really gone up significantly, but I have been working with a tutor and he has given me some helpful pointers. Good luck to everyone who is applying this year! Feel free to post any comments, but please be respectful. I would love to hear from anyone in the same boat as me who is applying part time.

12/2: Only a week until doomsday. I am freaking out. I don't feel like I've done enough practice exams....
In terms of schools to apply to, I am thinking of applying only to UB. It seems like the most realistic choice to me and it is a up and coming school with great clinical opportunities for part time students

Does anybody know how many times the LSAT can be taken? I heard you can't take it more than 3 times in 2 years.

12/14: Dec LSAT was a disaster for me. The first section went well and it was downhill after that. I felt like time was flying past faster than when I did the practice exams! LG sucked. I even had trouble with the 1st one, and ended up guessing on 3 games. I am thinking of canceling, it will look really bad if I do worse than a 145. LR and RC was a blur. I never had time to read the last passage.

2/24: Got a 143 on the december 2010 LSAT. It was a big disappointment. I'm not sure if I'm cut out for law but it is what I've always wanted to do. I may take the October 2011 test but I'm still not sure and now I have to see my options. I hope everyone gets into their school of choice.

Hey! Thank you for posting on my page. Are you retaking this December? I am considering to cancel the registration for December and take a year off to study. I'm doing practice exams and reading the famous bibles. I wish you the best!

I visited UDC a week ago and sent my application in for the part-time program about the same time. Your grades look strong and you do have good extracurriculars. If you are retaking the LSAT i recommend the Powerscore books, really helpful. Kaplan didnt work to well for me. i hope i have a fighting chance at UDC parttime. In my app i emphasized how i wanted to practice in the area and how i liked the clinical program for real world experience. I am middle eastern, i hoped minority status may help but... i had to check white since there wasnt any other options lol. Goodluck! Mayb see you at UDC

Hey, I took the LSAT multiple times and I know how stressful it can be, I think you can only take the test 3 times in 2 years and if you want to take it for a 4th time you have to petition the school your interested in or something like that, Good luck with the test!!!!!

Thank you for the well-wishes! You know - the crappy thing is, I have taken the LSAT twice and I got the same dang score both times! It was strange - the second time I took it I was testing around 158-160 for the month prior to the test, but on the day of the test I BOMBED again! So, for fear that will happen again, I don't think I'll retake the LSAT, but take my chances. Good luck with your school of choice! I hope you get in!

Please don't get discouraged. Remember that we are smarter than the LSAT! We will kick butts the first year and transfer to a great school.
