Additional info & updates

04/12- Depositing at Notre Dame today! Just withdrew from the remaining three schools, unsure as to whether I'll remain on Georgetown's waitlist.

04/10- About ready to deposit at Notre Dame. Still no word from Cornell, don't know what to think at this point.

04/02- Rejected at Chicago...no shock, obviously...went to my secondary email account because for some reason my ND email didn't work for them, so I didn't find it until today (4/9)

03/31- Application Held at WUSTL, so I withdrew. No 'hold' option, so I selected WL.

03/30- Decision is now down to four schools, though still waiting on WashU and Cornell

03/22- Got a $2K/yr bump in my scholarship at Notre Dame.

Regular WL at Georgetown via email...UR 1/7 and then again on 2/3

02/19- In at Notre Dame!! Via large Priority Mail box which ND shorted by $5.80...I still have no idea why it cost over $10 to ship a box from Notre Dame to South Bend, about 1/4 mile, but very excited to be in! $18K/yr scholarship as well!

02/15- Under Review at Duke

02/12- Dinged at BC, my most surprising result yet. Hope the same thing doesn't happen at ND.
In at Fordham via email!

02/11- In at UIUC with 30K/yr!

02/09- Decision rendered at BC

01/11- William and Mary total scholarship of $17200 per year (with 3.0 GPA)

01/09- Opened mail at school, Hofstra scholarship of 35,000/yr contingent on top 40% in the class, plus a handwritten note from the Assistant Dean

12/28- received December LSAT score, a 7 point jump to 168...applied to Cornell, Duke, UVA, Chicago, and Michigan...figured I would reach to the T14, though I have extremely borderline stats.

12/23- Accepted to PSU-Dickinson via Email (161 LSAT)

So which way are you leaning? You've got some good options and we overlap on some acceptances and our money is identical; I was just curious about your thought process. Good luck with the T-14s!

Any idea what happened?? Those numbers are pretty strong.

BC

Well, I transferred out of BC after freshman year of undergrad, but I really didn't think they would work like that. I don't hold a grudge against BC, it was just a dream to attend ND and I had to go after it. I hope it doesn't mean anything for the rest of the cycle....

Sucks about BC
Monday, January 04 2010 at 07:00 PM

Sorry to hear about BC, kind of a weird, didn't really expect that. It is hard to turn down that kind of money at W&L. Its a nice problem to have these choices. I understand about the T14s, can't expect too much there. I applied to Cornell awhile ago, but they didn't come in as complete until Feb 1. I hope they let us know in time to make an informed decision without having to lay down a non-refundable seat deposit.

Grats on the Fordham scholarship man, especially given how stingy they are heh... It's more and more likely I'll be there next fall myself.

Options

Hey, I'm from NYC, so Fordham's pretty close to home for me. Still hoping to get into at least BU and maybe Texas so I have a few other good options... dunno though a 166 this year doesn't seem half as good as a 168 heh. Everyone's just out to raise their median numbers, what with the number of applicants rising and all.

interview with GULC

I have very similar numbers to yours. I see you recently got WL'ed at Georgetown. I was wondering... Did you interview with them? Thx & G'luck!

GULC

No interview...and it is the regular WL, not preferred or 'super-preferred.'

ND peers

I got a lot of the same results as you throughout this cycle... really excited for ND, see you in South Bend, congrats!
