Yup! Good call, most people just think I'm from Chicago's northwest side :P
Thanks for your post. I bet we did interview with the same person - how weird! NW is driving me a bit nuts, and I'm trying to resist the temptation to call them. But, I think the waiting might be a good sign. There must be some reason they're holding on to our aps., let's just hope they made the right decision in the end. Good luck!
How did the call tip you off to bad news if all they said was that your file was in review?
Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation, but her awkwardness and hesitancy was probably just a result of her not knowing anything about your file, not a result of her knowing you'd been dinged. Who knows - it's a waiting game.
In response to your question on my account, I'm really not looking to go into a specific type of law. I want to clerk for a judge and then go into the public sector (U.S. Attorney's Office, DA's Office, DOJ, etc.). Things might change though, you never know. For a law school, I'm really looking for a place to provide me the best education, so I like Minnesota's clinics and three years of required legal writing. If you have any other questions before you visit MN let me know on my account. I'm not an expert my any means, but I've visited. I would strongly suggest contacting someone in the admissions office prior to your trip. This way they can plan for your arrival. Touring by yourself will be pretty uninformative. Good luck.
