Additional info & updates

Madison resident.

Withdrawn from Marquette.

"Priority" waitlist from BC - but unlikely to attend if admitted.

Wouldn't it be nice (but unlikely) to move to sunny San Diego?

Went from "hold" to waitlist at Wisconsin 5/23.

Took June 2005 LSAT - 168. I did not add it to this profile becasue it cannot be taken into account for this applicaiation cycle at Wisconsin (I called, apparently it is their stated policy not to accept scores after February). It did, however, get me off of San Diego's waitlist.

Got call from Wisconsin 8/15/05. I'm going - thank God I don't have to go through another application cycle! Yet, I will always wonder where I "could" have gotten in with my new LSAT score...

I came to this site to seee if I could get a feel for how many other people out there are "on hold" at Madison. Apparently there are a lot of us. I live in Madison, and if I don't get in this year I plan to retake the LSAT and re-apply for 2006. Best of luck to all you who are waiting.

Would rather wait a year than move to Milwaukee (Madison resident), Commute is not feasible. MU is a great school - and I thought it would help my Karma to free up a space and some $$ for someone who will be happy to use it.

I am dyin over here too...I hope they do something soon because I have a job/apartment etc that I have to deal with. If I don't tell my boss either way by June 1, I will automatically lose my high paying firm job. Ick!

First, congrats on your new score. I'd love to hear your story about what you did to make it happen. Second, I'm reposting my response to your original post below, just in case you don't check my profile on a daily basis :) To answer the question: From what I have garnered from xoxo, LSD, and various other Law School resources (am I obsessed yet?) there are a couple factors in my favor and one major one against it: First, the bad news: 1) Regardless of whether a school considers the 172 or the 168, they must report the 168 to USNews. The good news: 1) I (and youre in this same boat) do have a pretty significant split, and that works in my favor. 2) I'm writing the addendum and I'm confident in my ability to explain. I know I have more reasons somewhere, and I'll post more when I think of them. Also, and only for the time being, Im still basking in the latest score, so just me live in my illusion for a few more weeks ;). / Matt

This is terrific!

Fabulous! No one deserves this more than you do. Congrats on your acceptance to Wisconsin. You patience and persistence have paid off!
