Also applied to B.C.L./LL.B. at McGill University in Montreal, rejected (huh?) via online status checker on 03/08/07, not terribly upset as there was no chance I'd go there anyway given my other acceptances/scholarships

Notifications (decision dates above are the postmark/email date):

11/09/06: Duke, big white packet with blue folder inside, accepted to JD/LLM program in International and Comparative Law

11/13/06: Email from Fordham, followed by snail mail copy to permanent address

11/16/06: Georgetown, small cream-colored envelope with hand-written note from Dean

12/19/06: Email from Cornell, followed by snail mail letter in small white envelope, accepted to JD/LLM program in International and Comparative Law

12/21/06: BC, big packet to my permanent address that took forever to get there because the South is special

1/10/07: Email from Harvard, application placed on hold

1/30/07: Columbia, "first reserve" notification in small cream envelope, indicated that I want to remain in consideration online

3/10/07: UVA, general non-resident waitlist notification in small cream envelope

3/28/07: Harvard, rejection letter in small cream envelope

4/15/07: NYU, waitlist notification in small white envelope with viewfinder

5/17/07: UVA, offer of admission from waitlist received via phone from Dean of Admissions (had already withdrawn via email, twice, so not sure how that happened but flattering nonetheless)

Scholarships (amounts above are total value):

2/1/07: Duke, received photocopy of a scholarship notice that they sent me in December that vanished in the mail (see, it does happen): $8K a year plus $3K stipend for first summer and $1,200 for second summer

3/5/07: Cornell, received offer of Dean's Scholarship of $25,000 a year

3/21/07: Duke, received revised scholarship offer granting an additional $6K over three years

Withdrawals:

1/19/07: Withdrew from American via email prior to receiving a decision

1/29/07: Withdrew from BC via accept/decline sheet provided in acceptance packet

3/3/07: Withdrew from Georgetown via accept/decline sheet provided in one of their mailings

3/10/07: Withdrew from UVA via email indicated in waitlist notice immediately upon receipt

3/27/07: Withdrew from Fordham via email to Admissions office

3/30/07: Withdrew from Columbia, NYU, and Cornell via emails to Admissions offices

4/16/07: Withdrew (again) from NYU via sheet provided in waitlist envelope, guess they didn't get my email two weeks ago withdrawing before they'd made a decision
