Right. The "mild" climate of Charlottesville (sp) makes UVA a better choice. Stanford? The weather stays "just right" 24/7 365 days a week, or so I heard.

I got a letter earlier this week from the Office of Financial Aid. It was a stuffed business-size envelope. It just said that I received the Dean's Scholarship worth 10k/semester. Hope this helps,
the scholarship offer came more than a month after the acceptance, so I wouldn't spaz just yet!
yeah, it is a bit higher than that. I've noticed that people with numbers similar to yours have been getting offers of 15k/year, which is nothing to shake your fist at. Ooh, bad grammar. Nothing at which to shake your first.
has instilled in me a deep respect for correct prepositional placement. That is a large part of why I adore Henry Kissinger so much. His grammar is breath-taking.
My advice to you is to head to Duke and give me your Vandy spot once you get in;)
