You're not doing so bad yourself. Keep it up!
Congrats to you too! Those are some great acceptances (darn Penn!!), and I'm sure there are more to come if mail didn't take a month to get to you =). Good luck!
It's hard to name a favorite right now.. I have to say that I'm conflicted between Boalt, NYU, and Michigan. I'll probably get a better idea after fin aid and the visits.
I don't think this applies to you, but I think UMich realized I was an arrogant jerk and wanted to take me down a peg
congrats on all the acceptances! which way are you leaning? and how have the schools been notifying you of their decision (email, phone, letter, etc)?
my top choices probably include Penn, Duke, and Texas -- hard to decide which is tops among those three, without knowing whether I'm accepted or not, and what the money offers might be. What about you? Where do you think you're headed?
to u as well~ koreans are kickin a$$~
I can't believe you got rejected by Michigan. This cycle is so weird. I'm your numbers twin and I wound up getting waitlisted at Northwestern. But congrats on the 90k from Northwestern! That's a really wonderful scholarship! :)
Congrats on great acceptances. However, I have to agree (hopefully in a more mature manner) with those who challenge the "yield protection" idea on the Mich rejection. Your LSAT is only 2 points above their median; probably 0 or 1 points above for out-of-staters (assuming you are out of state). Your GPA is excellent but there are thousands of 3.9s out there. You don't cite any outstanding soft factors (if you have them, please disregard). So it's a bit presumptuous to chalk this up to YP.
My Mich comment is only a baseless speculation. In no sense have I asserted my opinion to be true. I do have some interesting soft factors. My GPA is higher than 3.9. My application read more like an MBA application, in retrospect. I'm thinking Mich didn't really like it.
Gosh you have good #'s... so many options. That is weird about Michigan but who cares. It's freezing up there.
I was just wondering when you sent in your fin. aid docs to Boalt and what kind of aid package it was (merit, need, matching, or whatever else.) Thanks a bunch and congrats so far.
What time of day did they email you? Good job getting in even if you're not going.
I'm hoping to get some $$$$ from them.
Congrats on the G'Town money! :) May I ask how you pulled it off?
Great job so far! Good luck with the rest =)
