Congratulations on Stanford. What would be your top pick among HYS? (not that you could really go wrong with any of them)

thanks thor

Well, if I happened to get in another top 3, I'd visit regardless. I'm trying not to pick a favorite until the admissions game is done.

ok

I was just wondering if you were the same person. I didn't mean it as a diss or anything. Thanks for the advice.

Hey, what can I say...you're doing awesome! Anyway, I've never left a comment here, but I think you should be able to e-mail me. If so, please do, I really would like to chat about the whole decision making process (it's great to bounce ideas off of other people, b/c I'm sooo indecisive myself). Thanks and congratulations!

congrats!

My grades are similar to yours. I was wondering what you felt the biggest factor was that helped you or you felt gave your application an edge?

Thanks for offering your help. I do have some questions in the hopes that you will answer regarding: extracurriculars (what types), application tips, and a few more. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations on your current successes. I've posted my email so feel free to respond. thanks

A Basic Question
Wednesday, June 29 2005 at 08:00 PM

I have a 3.0 (3.42) gpa and scored a 169 on the LSAT. I took the LSAT in February, so I wasn't able to apply to some of the top schools. Would you recommend that I wait a year to apply to those schools (Mich, Chicago, Harv)?

Another Question
Wednesday, June 29 2005 at 08:00 PM

I was talking to my business law professor, and he told me to contact schools and try to still apply for 2005-2006. I contacted the Univ of Mich admissions office, and the Associate Director said any other year she would say turn in my app, but due to the amount and competitiveness of this application cycle she wouldn't advise it but if I did it wouldn't hurt me for next year. What would you do?

You did the damn thing

It is sooooo hard to fight ANY Black males getting into any good schools on any of these message boards or forums. Way to go! I am going to start applying in October and I have a hill to climb. I have a 3.1 and I am taking the June 6th LSAT. Any suggestions on the test and application process. I took the LSAT with a prep course and started studying 8 months in advance and bombed it! But I had to take it a few hours away and had no idea what to expect. Give'm hell at the IVY's and have them wish they were black. Go to Harvard and be a social enigma (find the smartest kids on the first day and find a spot in the library)--I can smell Order of the Coif and Law Review all over you. On my end I would have a much higher GPA (5 straight semesters on the Dean's List after my second year) but I was completely unaware of how to study or focus in college--much like my first LSAT. GOOD LUCK and answer my questions at any time.

Question
Wednesday, August 31 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hi, I was just wondering how you went about studying for the LSAT. Did you take a course and if so, which one? Thanks!

LSAT!!
Tuesday, April 11 2006 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on your acceptances. May I ask, what tools did you use to prepare for the LSAT?
