Undergrad activities: APO fraternity member (community service fraternity); club rugby.
Currently: President of non-profit dance group.

In the workforce (non-profit field) for 4 years. Worked part-time throughout undergrad, with full-time internships during summer. Previous government employee.

1/12: MSU - Acceptance came in email with notice of formal letter coming in mail this week. Not sure if/how/when I might hear about $$. Maybe in the formal letter?

1/17: MSU letter came in a big packet and included scholarship info. $15K is for first year. If I get a 3.6 or higher my first year, will be eligible for a half, 3/4, or full tuition scholarship.

Mid-January: Have sent out a LOT of applications. It's a little late in the game, but hopefully it won't hurt me too much. Might just affect scholarship dollars (if there was any to begin with). Wishing I would hear from Villanova (if it's good news)!

1/30: Drexel - In via phone call! That was a super fast turn around - thanks Drexel! $5k scholarship is per year. Email and other correspondence to follow.

2/2: UNLV - Decision rendered and mailed today (via status checker). Seems early for them. Rather nervous about it. But only 2 other lsn'ers have heard from UNLV this year, both with same thing on status checker and both accepted with hefty scholarships. Please let the trend continue.

2/6: Rutgers-Camden - Accepted via email! Been selected as a scholar and receiving $5k per year. Gotta maintain at least a 3.33 gpa. Still no mail from UNLV -- wish the USPS would speed it up!

2/11: UNLV - Called since no mail yet. Rep was apologetic as it was mailed last Monday. Verbally let me know I was accepted, with $20k for first year and 2/3 in-state tuition for 2 and 3L contingent on being in top third of class. UPDATE: Received package in a big envelope (5 days after i called - dang USPS)

2/20: LSU - Received an email about Admitted Students Day...called to confirm and make sure I wasn't reading too much into the invite! Accepted - letter was mailed on 2/18. Scholarship committee meets separately to review admitted apps and will hear in a few weeks. Hooray!

2/27: Tulane - Received email that app was forwarded to committee and status checker changed to in review.

2/27: American - Received WL notice in a small envelope.

3/6: Catholic - Email stating app was forwarded to committee; the status checker filled in.

3/9: Penn State - WL notice in small snail mail envelope.

3/13: LSU - Received scholarship notice. Very nice, indeed.

3/27: Northeastern - Accepted via large packet in snail mail.

3/31: Tulane - Status Checker changed to decision rendered. Pretty sure this means not accepted, based on other LSN'ers notifications

4/1: Villanova - Waitlisted. Received via email. Status Checker changed to Waitlisted. And to think how hard i rooted for them on Saturday.

4/5: Busy mail weekend!
Oregon - Big packet in the mail. (they didn't have status checker)
Tulane - small envelope rejection, but encouraged transfer app. Not bad to have the only rejection (so far) be from the top school applied to!

4/6: Catholic - Status checker changed to decision rendered and mailed.

4/7: Catholic - Email acceptance note, will receive package in the mail. (Package included scholarship info)
I'm just waiting on Temple -- fingers crossed!!!!! The decision has been narrowed down otherwise so I am beginning to withdraw from schools. Hopefully it will get someone off a waitlist! Good Luck!

4/10: Northeastern - Financial Aid info contained scholarship amount

....still waiting on Temple. This is not a great feeling as deposits are due tomorrow.
