what were your soft factors?
your extra information is really unique and wonderful. I am sure that with your LSAT and that extra info the schools are loving you!!! Congrats on 2 great acceptances and hopefully there are more to come!!
thanks! i was both excited and blown away when i found out. now i'm just worried they'll realize they made a mistake. as far as uva goes, i think there still may be quite a few spots left. there are 426 members to the admitted student forum, and everyone who's admitted automatically becomes a member- don't have to log in or register or anything. last year uva made more than 1100 offers. so either i'm missing something big, got something wrong, they're making fewer offers, or there are many more to come... at least there's hope. i know the wait is maddening though.
excellent soft factors! Congrats on getting in, especially with that GPA =)
I missed the deadline on UVA, but figured it was no big deal since I couldn't get in anyway. You give my transfer hopes a big boost. Congratulations.
on law school!!! I am excited for you!!
thanks so much for everyone's kind comments. i've taken down my extracurricular info until i make my decision, cause they were such as to make me feel naked :) i'll put them back up sometime soon. i expected to get into maybe one of these schools, and then only if insanely lucky. i don't know what to do now. but i certainly wish everyone else the same beyond-belief luck.
sure- i opened up my email at work today and there was something from susan j. maron at admit@law.columbia.edu. it was blank, but contained a pdf attachment offering me admission- signed by the dean. hard copy to follow. then i proceeded to stare blank-like at the computer for several minutes, and had my most worthless day at work ever :)
Nice job. Our numbers are eerily similar. I commend you, and humbly request some of your wicked good juju.
I don't think that I've seen a better application cycle this year. I am not in the least surprised, though. Well done and congrats.
on law school. You did awesome on the LSAT!! How did you prepare for it and how long did you prepare?
on Columbia!! I am happy for you!!
Hi...I'm a spliter looking at next cycle and I just wanted to know what some of your softs were. Congrats.
i've been teaching standardized tests since high school-- which helped a lot. but no, a class isn't necessary. buy all the released preptests (or at least several), and the logic games and logical reasoning bible from powerscore. if you're doing really poorly, you may want to buy kaplan's versions of the test, since they have answer explanations in case you don't see where you went wrong. and just work on them (especially games) a little every night. best of luck to you!
