10/28 I just sent in my transcript request today. I am pretty nervous about this cycle, but hopefully I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. I've told me recommender's that the deadline is Nov.7th. I still got to work on my personal essay! I'm going to try to knock that out this week.

11/25 App sent to GW. Received 2 LORs waiting for 2 more. Confident in personal statement. I wrote a GW specific diversity statement, I need to write a general one for all the other schools. Received a fee waiver from USC.

12/08 My first application is 100% complete, Penn State Dickinson. I kind of applied to Penn State on a whim, because they gave me a fee waiver and my numbers match exactly, so we shall see what happens. My GW application has been received but it is not complete because I am still waiting for 2 LOR's. One of them got returned to sender , arghhh, so I will be faxing it tomorrow! The last one the recommender said they put it in the mail today, I hope it gets there on time for the ED deadline!!!

12/26 I have all my applications out to the original 8 schools I originally planned on applying too. I just need to mail the certification to Columbia and call Fordham to make sure they received my application. I had to physically mail it in for the fee waiver and I haven't heard anything from them. So that has me nervous cause I would really love to attend Fordham.

I got a couple of fee waivers of extreme reaches that I am debating if I should even bother. USC Cornell. I can't really see myself in Ithaca. It is so nerve wracking, I feel like I haven't applied to enough schools. I need more safeties/good matches. Frankly I'm scared that I will not get in anywhere. But I don't really have the money to apply to any more schools. I think I want to throw in an app to Rutgers, St.Johns, and UNC-Chapel Hill. I wrote to each school requesting a fee waiver so we will see how that goes.

1/16 So I got into my first school! Penn State!! Yay!!! Im just so happy that i am acceptable somewhere. I don't know if I would actually like to be in Pennsylvania because I would rather NY or DC but hey they want me :)

So I got an email from American yesterday saying that I was complete. Which I really don't understand seeing that I applied in early December and I had all my letters, lors in etc... Also when I called them at the end of December because I had not heard anything from them they said I was complete.

I did not get into GW ED and now they will review my file in the regular decision and im supposed to hear by mid February.

1/22 I don't know what I am doing with my life. I am still not complete at Columbia or Fordham and those are my two dream schools!! I applied for fee waivers at both schools and haven't heard back yet if they approved to fee waiver. Fordham hasn't even requested my reports yet!!! :(

1/26 I got into my second school -- American!! Yay!! I could definitely see myself going there and staying in DC. Columbia finally approved my fee waiver! They have all my stuff so hopefully some miracle occurs and I get in!!! Now I will continue to stalk Fordham till something happens. They need to approve the waiver asap or tell me no so I can pay the money! (which I do not have :( But I would LOVE to go to Fordham and this is really slowing down my review process. I need to work on the two additional essays for Penn and St.Johns since I got waivers.

1/28 I just got into Emory!! OMG! I cannot believe it! Could this new yorker make her way to the south for real!!! Sky's the limit!!!

2/4 Brooklyn!! My 1st NY school to accept me. So I have been accepted by 4 schools and waiting on 4 more! Cycle is pretty decent. I need to call Fordham again. There playing games!! They still haven't requested my numbers! It makes me mad because I would go to Fordham in a heart beat and I feel my application may be too late in the cycle now :(

2/19 New York Law! I got into all my safeties! Thats whats up!!! Oh Fordham!! I called them today and I'm like hello my name is .... I applied Dec. 4th my LSDA report has till not been requested I just want to know..... The lady goes okay just give us some time. It will all be updated soon. WTF!!!! You didn't ask me for my LSAC number, your not looking at file... Will anyone from Fordham ever look at my file!??!!? Are they even any more seats left in the class!!!! It's not like they stopped admitting people. People have been admitted and my file hasn't event been looked at..They dont even know my lsat or gpa! And I turned it in December 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe god will have mercy on me and I will get into Columbia!

2/20 So Fordham has finally requested for LSAC report. 2 months later! This is so crazy for me! I would love to go to Fordham. But by the time they review my app will there even be seats left in the class? I don't have the strongest numbers so applying early was my game plan and well.....

2/25 Waitlisted at GW. Wow. GW was a reach for me. So it's not a bad thing to be waitlisted there. I got$60,000 Dean Scholarship for New York Law. I need Emory to show me some money!

4/13 I mailed my deposit to Emory today!!!!! I'm still waiting to hear back from 3 schools. Columbia Upenn were extreme reaches. So I'm fine with not getting in. Fordham, i really wanted to go to the school so I could be back in NY. But just the way they've handled this cycle with the EXTREME delay in asking for my records, kind of turned me off. So we will see what happens. So as of now Emory is where I am heading, and I think i'm extremely excited!!!

4/30 I got WAITLISTED at UPENN! University of Pennsylvania School of Law. The 7th best law school in the nation!! Crazy!!!!! I applied really late, but if I had applied earlier maybe I would have gotten in!!! So crazy to me. Lesson to all! Shoot for the moon and APPLY EARLY!

5/19 Apply Early kids, Apply Early!!!! I am on reserve at Columbia, my dream school! I am waitlisted at Fordham. If I would have applied to all of these schools around october there is a chance I could have gotten in. Now I will never know :(

I am going to stay on the waitlist for Columbia Upenn and just try to ride them out. I have already paid my first deposit for Emory and the second deposit is due June 1st, but if I can go to Columbia (my dream school) or UPenn (ivyleague) I most certainly will! Let's see where my future takes me.

5/23 Well my future is not taking me to UPenn. I need to start finding loans to pay for Emory.
