Hello Pug Friend

That is so awesome that you have 4 of them! I am so jealous! I don't even have one, but I want to get one during law school - is tha a bad idea considering I'll be gone for class and stuff? I heard they like a lot of attention. Anyway pugs have an uncanny ability to cheer me up no matter what and I think they are the best animals ever. Glad to see another pug lover!

good luck

Thanks so much for your nice note. I've been following your posts on LSN, and it sounds like you've had some pretty awesome and unique experiences! Luckily, I'm becoming more and more convinced that law schools appreciate that!

Wild stories...

"Unique" doesn't begin to describe some of them! I remember thinking my first year on the job: "Wow--I never knew so many people died in so many weird ways at home!" It seemed like I was on a DOA call every tour, and some pretty bizarre ones, too. I've seen so many tragic events that I fear I may have lost some of my compassion. For example, I was on a fire years ago in which a 9-month-old baby died--his 4-year-old brother doused him with lighter fluid and lit him up. :-( Bad, bad call. And the mother got to keep the 4-year-old, in spite of her obvious inability to supervise his behavior. Where is the justice in that? Because she didn't pay attention to her older child, her baby died. As a result, I think of that woman with contempt instead of empathizing with her loss. As an attorney, maybe I can help prevent situations like that, rather than simply respond to them after the fact. I hope the schools to which I've applied appreciate my work experience as a woman in a non-traditional field of employment. Maybe I should've bribed the adcomms with a ride on a fire truck! :-D

LSAC won't release those scores soon enough! I hope they do on 3/2 so I can call in sick on 3/3 to celebrate (or drown in my tears, if that's the case).

OK, I didn't do as well as I'd hoped--157. :-( However, after looking at Cleveland-Marshall's numbers, I noted that I meet the "accepted students" numbers with my 3.38/157/3.0 index. C-M is a good fit for me and I hope to hear good news soon.

CSU

Congrats on the CSU acceptance. I hope I get accepted there as well. Did you have to submit that separate CSU fin. aid form when you sent your admissions application?

Aid form CSU

Didn't have to submit it with the application, but I received an email from financial aid requesting that I submit it along with my FAFSA. I plan on doing that within the next week.

Accepted @ CSU too

I'm so happy I got into CSU as well. How were you notified of your scholarship $? My acceptance letter made no mention of any potential scholarship $ for me :( Perhaps in a separate financial award letter?

My scholarship notification came in the same envelope as my acceptance--separate letter included with acceptance letter.
