Cool Dude.

Grad in 2000, have spent last four years living in Hollywood working on commercials and music videos. Crossing my fingers I get into a public school so I don't have to pay private school tuition.

Additional info & updates

bad news...Minnesota rejected me after a long stint on the deferred list. to be honest, never expected to get in with these numbers. But I made numerous visits to the school and got to know the admissions people -- they got to know me well. They also sent a handwritten note, saying they'd like to talk in the fall about having me transfer from wherever...so I guess I made my presence felt...still breaks my heart though!

5/12 Marquette Let me in...

6/22 Still waiting for Madison...pretty much up in the air between WM and Marquette...neither one has much cred outside their respective cities...which is a problem.

7/2 alright...leaning towards Marquette for all you fans out there...

7/28...back on the Willy Mitch wagon now...

So are you headed to WM if you don't hear back from the others? I'll be at their admitted students day in March, so I thought I'd ask :)

I ended up withdrawing from William Mitchell yesterday. I really liked the school and strongly considered, but I've decided it'll be ASU or Madison. Sorry about Minny; maybe you can make it work in the future.

thanks!

Being from WAY far away from Wisconsin and having a job where I meet people from all over the country everyday, I have found that Marquette is actually quite well known and respected. I didn't know much about it when I applied and still didn't know much about it when I decided to go there over some pretty highly ranked schools, but I continually run into people that think it's a great school, no matter where they are from.

wm vs. marquette

hey sorry about the bad luck i emailed a ton of minn students and talked w/ a bunch of admissions people -- all agreed that wm is a better choice if your heart is set on the u of mn. they don't care about rankings as much as grades -- and wm will give you connections in the city while you wait (and looks like you got a sweet scholarship too) if you're leaning toward a more midwest-y school rather than a mn-transfer school, than marquette is a much better choice. (wi has 400 people on two waitlists -- i called them) hope all goes well!
